I totally agree

Half of the programs these days you catch your eyes wandering away only to return when they perform a jump!!

Of course the jumps are incredibly important and entertaining to see pulled off well,, but presentation is half the score!!

✨Here’s my problem with Figure Skating nowadays✨

It has become nothing but a jumping contest. In women’s and men’s both, the skater doesn’t even need to be artistic, if they land all their jumps it = high scores/world records. EVEN if their jumping techniques are wrong and questionable (and dont even get me started on the biased judging and favouritism because the skater doesn’t get called out for their bad techniques.)

What happened to figure skating when it was about artistry, performance, skating skills, edges, etc? Very few skaters are still beautiful regarding their skating skills and captivating views and they are the skaters that people remember, such as Yuna Kim, Jason Brown, Yuzuru Hanyu, etc.

I’m not trying to diminish the hard work that these skaters go through to get these jumps and how difficult they really are. But figure skating has completely put it’s meaning of artistry on the backseat and favourited jumps over anything

If anyone wants to add onto this please do, it’s just a little rant of mine that I’ve noticed the figure skating world become over the years 💔

i just have this image of mama inko watching the news, and maybe seeing a clip of this rogue-looking hero out there in the rain that looks like her son all the way down to his green lightning, calling izuku but he won’t answer his phone. so she sits at the table crying, worried out of her mind, hoping that all might will keep his promise and that he or bakugo, his teachers, someone will help her son or call and tell her that izuku is safe and okay

Cut your food into small pieces, make the font size 30 on your e book, use straws to drink, get a pen that’s comfortable to hold, take more naps, walk slowly, eat another cookie, buy velcro shoes, re-watch the part you couldn’t understand the first time, write things on your hands so you don’t forget it… whatever you want and/or need
