These are the game modes I'm thinking of trying first with Gartic phone.

so to organise this thing I'll need to know everyone who might be interested. Just leave a comment or and ask or DM.

I'm thinking it's a good idea to bring those who wanna play over to a group chat since everyone lives in different time zones, to organise the game better and discuss it better over there.

is it okay to request platonic angst of leaving twisted wonderland and saying goodbye to the adeuce duo and Grim? I didn't see if you had a character limit, but if you do, feel free to ignore this or just do it with grim

COMMENTS: oh my GOSH writing angst is hard ahahaha. I seriously teared up writing this. I’m not sure if this is exactly what you wanted, but this is the first thing my mind came up with. Sorry this took so long, and I hope you enjoy it!!

(also, because this made me sad, I’m gonna do a part 2 to make it a happy ending soonish™, I hope you don’t mind!)

“Are you sure this’ll work?” Deuce fretted, wringing his shirt so hard you thought it was going to rip. He’d finally stopped pacing, at least. Moving to face you, his eyes locked on to yours, searching for any hint of doubt.

“Seriously dude, that’s the seventh time you’ve asked that in the past twenty minutes.” Ace complained loudly from his position propped against the wall. “Can you stop acting like a mother hen for five minutes? You’re starting to make me anxious,” he added, muttering under his breath.

The three of you and Grim were standing in the Mirror Hall as you double and triple checked your luggage, which Grim was perched on top of. He’d been strangely quiet ever since Crowley had summoned the both of you to his office.

Crowley had calmly explained that he (in his generosity) had finally found a way for you to return home. Grim had congratulated you and helped you pack, just as the others had, but most times he just remained quiet. You figured this was him trying to be strong for you. The thought brought the sting of tears to your eyes. You hastily blinked them back. Now was not the time.

“It’ll be alright, don’t worry.” You looked up and gave your friends the most reassuring smile you could muster, despite the lump in your throat and the niggling doubts in the back of your mind. “Crowley gave me his word that this’d work.”

Three sets of mouths immediately fell open as Ace, Deuce and Grim stared at you in horror. Your grin widened as you enjoyed the moment, before deciding to put them out of their misery. “Relax you guys. I also checked with Malleus, Lilia, Idia and Ortho. All of them said that there is no reason they could think of that my phone should not still work in my world, as long as I can charge it. And I can.”

A collective sigh of relief flooded the room. Ace walked over and punched you lightly in the arm.

“Not funny, Prefect. That’s Deuce’s last clean shirt and you scared him so bad he almost ripped it in half just now.”

“Ah- hey! This isn’t my last clean shirt!” Deuce protested, rolling his eyes.

“Oh yeah?” Ace retorted. He crossed his arms and stared at Deuce, his eyes narrowing. “That’s weird. If that’s the case then why are there so many random clothes strewn across the floor of our dorm?”

“Those are yours!”

“Enough, guys.” You sighed, tired of their bickering. “This might be the last time we see each other face to face for a while. Do you really wanna spend it bickering about clothes?”

Both boys shared a glance and then sighed.

“You’re right. I’m sorry, Prefect. Sorry, Ace.” Deuce mumbled. He looked away, fidgeting with his jacket sleeve.

“It’s not your fault,” Ace sighed, “I’m the one who started it. My bad, you guys.”

“Ah, how nice to see three - ah, forgive me, two and a half - of my freshmen getting along so well! Surely this must have something to do with my excellent guidance as headmage, hm?” Crowley spoke suddenly, making the four of you jump. None of you had noticed him come in. The sight of him made your hopes soar and your heart sink.

It was time to go.

Ace opened his mouth and grumbled something that made Deuce stand on his foot. You had to repress a slight giggle as Ace glared at Deuce.

“Well then, shall we get cracking?” Crowley strode towards the Dark Mirror, evidently ignoring Ace and Deuce’s exchange.

Sharing a worried glance with your friends, the four of you made your way towards the Dark Mirror. Ace gently scooped Grim into his arms as Deuce grabbed your bag - you’d only needed one - and carried it to the mirror, which had begun to glow.

“If you’d like to say any last goodbyes, now would be the time. My, aren’t I generous for allowing you all a second last goodbye?” Crowley exclaimed as he got to work with the Mirror, which glowed ever brighter by the second.

You turned to face the others and Deuce immediately pulled you into a bone crushing hug. You readily accepted, wrapping your arms around him and giving him a tight squeeze.

“Come on guys, really?” Ace complained. Deuce immediately grabbed him and pulled him into the hug. He - and Grim, still sitting in his arms - didn’t resist.

“It- it’ll be okay.” You managed, hating how nervous you sounded. “Crowley and the others have said they’ll look for a way for me to come and visit. And- and I’ll be looking too, alright? So we’ll probably see each other soon.”

You pulled away from the hug just in time to see Ace and Deuce exchange worried glances. Then, looking back to you, they both nodded in sync.

Just as Grim burst into tears.

Scooping the cat from Ace’s arms you hugged him tight. Forcing hot tears away, you held him as long as you could, but all too soon a hand landed on your shoulder.

“It’s time.” Crowley spoke softly and gently - almost kindly.

“Don’t forget to text us as soon as you get through.” Deuce said. His eyes were red and his voice was full of emotion.

“Yeah, or else we’ll have to come looking for you.” Ace said with a smirk, gesturing to himself, Deuce and Grim, who was still sniffling. You could tell he was trying to be the strong one, as the other two were in tears.

You smiled at him - at all of them.

“Thank you guys. For everything.”

Ace’s smile faltered.

Turning around so you wouldn’t have to see them cry, you picked up your bags and stared at the mirror.

You didn’t want to leave.

Everyone had been so kind to you here. There had been ups and downs, but everything had seemed worth it. You were with people who’d walk to the ends of the land for you, and you would do the same for them.

You felt your resolve breaking. You couldn’t leave, you just couldn’t.

Digging deep for some scrap of resolve, you forced one foot in front of the other.

You didn’t look back.

KALIM THOUGHTS TIME-

-Kalim only figuring out that he views you different from other people when someone else mentions that they like you and he’s just like “oh. That makes me feel bad. why does that make me feel bad. jAMIL-“

-Kalim not fully believing he’s in love (even though Jamil is literally spelling it out for him) until he’s teaching you how to dance and then notices how well you fit in his arms and how pretty your eyes are and how your laugh sounds like fairy charms and oh I get it now.

-Kalim wanting to learn everything about you but respecting your boundaries!! He might make a mistake, but he’s definitely trying and you notice it when he goes to ask you something a little personal and then goes “Oh! Wait! Never mind, it’s okay!” And then moves on to something else, or goes “Oh! Whoops, sorry! You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to!”

-Kalim writing little notes and drawings on his hands and along his arms little notes or things that remind him of you on days when you aren’t there. No one (except Jamil, who has a vague idea) realises who or what the notes are about. This habit works so well he starts writing other things on there like potions assignment due on the 13th and recipes for foods he wants to learn how to cook until he can remember them better.

-Kalim giving you as many surprise gifts as you’re comfortable with receiving. He’d love to shower you with gifts and jewels but he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable!

-Kalim doing fun and exciting things with you but never pushing you beyond what you’re comfortable with and enjoying the slow and quiet moments with you as well.

-Kalim being the wholesome hyper golden retriever boyfriend but taking the time to better himself for you because you deserve the best and he may not be perfect but he’s trying.

Just- Kalim learning and growing and being wholesome <3

(Also, Jamil being suspicious of you at first, but as he realises that Kalim is learning and growing (and becoming easier to manage) because of your presence in his life he does a 180 and starts to learn and grow himself)

what would be ur dream date if u could send an entire day w ....jade >>:)

okay... this took me a little to think about because there are both so many options, because it's an ENTIRE DAY, aaaaaaaaand because my brain turned into mush (*´◡`*)

it does depend on the time of year slightly, since hikes (should that be part of the date) are generally nicer when the weather isn't blisteringly hot, brutally cold, or wet and slippery.

HOWEVER, I'm going to go for something a little different here.

were I to spend an entire day with Jade, I think that I'd most want to start with a simple stroll around campus. just spending a little time together, walking, holding hands, and talking about whatever may come up. things about our days and what we may have coming up, our interests, our thoughts, the things we may observe. resting indoors or outdoors, in quiet spaces. I'd love to have a discussion at some point during the day specifically about one of his interests, spending time learning about what he likes directly from him. seeing his passion and happiness as he talks about something he enjoys, and doing the opposite as well, sharing one of my interests with him in turn. that is a fair balance, after all ^v^

later - with permission, obviously - we'd head into town and have lunch at a local café. we could try either familiar foods and drinks, or something new and unfamiliar. (or, knowing Jade's seemingly bottomless pit of a stomach, he'd most likely want to get both possible options!) we could do some people-watching while in town, too, which - as I've said before - is something I'm sure he'd enjoy!

in the afternoon, perhaps it would be nice to watch a film. it would be fun, a lovely way to spend time together, and also a good way to learn a bit more about how he thinks (I like to think he'd be the sort to comment on films as he watches them). it's also a perfect time to cuddle a little, if that's something that feels comfortable and natural to us (Jade is most certainly a touchy person, as am I, so that is a very likely occurrence)

ideally, we'd then cook dinner together - nothing too complex, but something still tasty, fresh, and pleasant. I'd love to see his cooking style, and see what it's like being in the kitchen with him, too. we'd eat dinner (hopefully not interrupted by a voracious Grim...) and afterwards, I'd walk him back to Octavinelle before saying good night with a kiss, on the hand, cheek, or lips ^^

overall: it would be a day we'd spend side-by-side, talking, learning about each other, and just... being together. nothing too dramatic. just a simple, somewhat domestic, comfortable day.

-Azul absolutely LOVES it when you wear his gloves. You were cold & forgot yours once or something and he leant you yours and became fascinated with how they’re slightly too big for you. He thinks you look adorable in them, so he ends up gifting you that set of gloves and buys a pair that matches them. But don’t ask him if he bought a matching pair on purpose. He would get extremely flustered and deny everything, and only wear them in private.

-Occasionally when he’s distracted he’ll fidget with your sleeves, jacket, buttons, hair, etc - always really gently and carefully, as fiddling with things helps him think. If you point it out he’ll get immediately flustered, apologise and beg you to not tell anyone, especially the tweels.

-He loves listening to you talk about otome games after a long day of work. Something about listening to you ramble about something you’re passionate about is really soothing to him. If you start to talk too much about one boy, he’ll get a little bit jealous and try to emulate that character a bit or go out of his way to spend more time with you.

-Dude will BANKROLL your merch collection. You won’t even realise you mentioned it and then it’ll be on your doorstep.

-also, he loves it when you wear jewellery and especially when he buys it for you and helps you put it on
