1960s Band AU

Paul, Irulan, Chani and Feyd are in a band (up to you who plays what). Glossu Rabban handles security; the younger Corrino girls and Alia handle publicity. Gurney, who's been a famous singer-songwriter, is their mentor; they're trying to get picked up by a big label. Their parents have just about had it with them...

After Kralizec AU

The Bene Gesserit sisterhood bring back Irulan Corrino, to write the history of the Famine Times, the Scattering and the fight against the machines. She gets to interview everyone involved in the final conflict and ask some tough questions. Would love to have her run into Paul on Arrakis--"Of All The Gin Joints In All The Towns In All The World, She Walks Into Mine."

1980s AU

Paul Atreides is a mid-level military/intelligence officer when the Soviets take over Afghanistan. He's the one who comes up with the bright idea of using the concept of jihad to fight the USSR in Afghanistan. What impact does this have on his career and family life? He's married to Chani, they have two lovely kids, but he's also drawn to Irulan, who's writing on the Afghan conflict.

Vietnam War AU

Paul and Feyd have joined the army after college. Chani's a nurse and Irulan, whose father is a military advisor to the South Vietnamese government, is a reporter. Glossu is there as a senior non-commissioned officer. Some of them (Paul, Chani and Irulan) eventually get involved with the anti-war movement. Paul and Chani end up living in a commune. Glossu gets involved in the South-East Asian drug trade and Feyd goes into politics, with help from his Uncle Vladimir, while Irulan becomes an investigative reporter.

Planet Denver AU

The Wimsey Dukes of Denver as part of the Dune universe.

Duke Gerald, Duchess Helen (Bene Gesserit), young Gerald and his sister--the ruling family. The Old Duchess Honoria Lucasta--from an old warrior family, the Delagardies--she is also a Bene Gesserit, like her daughter-in-law, only more skilled. Paul Delagardie--swordmaster and mentat, he saw to the education of his niece and nephews. Peter Wimsey--swordmaster, mentat and scholar. He and his wife, Harriet Vane, also a Bene Gesserit and writer, are in charge of Princess irulan's education and live on Kaitain. Merwyn Bunter--in charge of the Wimsey household on Kaitain. Mary Wimsey--Bene Gesserit and Suk doctor, married to Charles Parker, warmaster for House Wimsey.
