when chrissy and eddie let wayne know that she’s pregnant, the first thing he does (beside cry) is think of throwing her a baby shower but he doesn’t know how to quite do that, so he goes to mrs. henderson who then involves everyone else and together they surprise eddie and chrissy.

I wonder if the teen wolf writers know how easy it would be to just make sterek happen in the new movie.

Just have Derek mention his husband a couple of times, have his son ask if dad could help with the monster and to have Derek sigh and say "we can't call him he's working".

Then it just gets worse with the monster and Allison and for Derek and his son to be in danger and for Derek to just look at his son and say " do not tell your dad!"

And for the danger to end and Derek gets a call and answers it with a sign and a "hi stiles" and then Stiles berates him for half an hour

I watched a video recently about a former FBI agent talking about body language and how when people cross their arms they’re not “closing themselves off” or “being defensive” but just self soothing, even if they’re angry, the gesture at its core is giving themselves comfort.

I immediately thought of Derek Hale (because of course I did) and how often he crosses his arms and then I thought of Stiles wanting to be an FBI agent and learning this information and also immediately thinking of Derek Hale (because of course he did) and thinking yeah, it makes sense Derek is subconsciously seeking comfort after all the absolute bullshit he’s been through

but also thinking about Derek’s shitty loft and realizing Derek is punishing himself and so that leads to Stiles deciding he’s going to give Derek all the comfy things and starts buying fluffy soft blankets and throws and pillows and talking Derek into buying a comfier cozier couch “for the pack”

but then also thinking about Derek’s thumbhole sweater and buying him soft comfy sweaters and shirts that are not skin tight, just comfy (I also have it in my head that these would all have to be made from natural fibers not polyester for vague wolf-y reasons? idk)

I imagine Stiles realizing wolves are supposed to be tactile and Derek avoiding touch is likely a mix of self preservation and again punishment (but the Kate and Jennifer bits probably fit somewhere in there too) so he cautiously starts just squeezing his shoulder, grabbing his elbow, or letting their knees bump when he sits next to him, just for a second before moving away and never lingering or expecting reciprocation. Just plain comfort comfort comfort.

Derek: I haven't been called cool since I was 16. I'm starting to think I peaked in highschool.

Stiles: That's impossible. You hadn't even met me yet. *smirks, winks*

Derek:

Derek: I know you're just saying that as like some kind of clever, self-aggrandizing quip about how you are actually the best thing in my "sad" life while also trying to make a subtle jab at me about how I wasn't truly "complete" until you "graced" me with your "glorious presence", or whatever, and that I'll "never know anything greater than you for as long as I live". Derek: But joke's on you. You are, I wasn't until you did, and I never will. So, take that.

Stiles:
