Hi! I saw your post on your live reaction, and I appreciate it a lot! I'd like to offer one clarification though, and hopefully it'll make sense.

Okay so in the universe of WTTW, the BBAU people are still games, just like here. Every download makes a copy. So there exists an X amount of copies of each game at any given time. It's just that players (humans, us!) added the programming needed for them to be able to decide their own fates, regardless of what canon or prior programming has told them to have.

If you have a copy of Billy's Basics or Joe's Basics, that's yours out of hundreds or thousands of others. The only other place they can exist outside of their games, the player's host computer, is the Internet, referred to as "going Online".

So when Aldurra mentions not having seen a Billy in ages, he's referring to others that exist on other websites, all of which take on more physical forms that these guys can inhabit. Each Billy is different, too - some are with Girlfriend, some aren't very serious, a few are organic and not robotic/a cyborg (very rare Billy trait), and so on. It just so happens that the Webspace's Billy is the way he is.

(And just to be clear, only the Webspace's Billy is a hivemind - those on other websites are still their own Billys living their well-made, digital lives independent of each other)

Alex and Aldurra are both Alexes, but are also different. Dave 1 (You'll see him later!) and Dave 82, as well.

The same principle lies with all other game types, as well. You could absolutely say that every copy is personalized.

Thank you very much for all the info!! This clears up alot of confusion. I like this explanation even more because it connects nicely with WTTW: Coral’s Glory’s story. Orange-san pointed out that because of the “personalised” aspect in WTTW, that means ALL of the different fanon’s interpretations could be connected to eachother if the characters just stepped out of their timeline… Hehe…

Looking at fonts and some of them are nice and consistent all the way through, but for some of them you look at the special symbols and go "hoo boy, zero effort went into that ampersand"

Y’know… The best part… grins The sources of their traumas are from opposite ends of the child neglect spectrum. So there’s a good chance that what one hates, the other actually really wants, so they can’t fathom why the other person is miserable. kicks a rock
