So, One Of The Ridiculous Things That Edgeworth Does While In His Bratsworth Era Is Get Into A Staring

So, one of the ridiculous things that Edgeworth does while in his Bratsworth era is get into a staring contest with his own reflection… and then declare himself the winner. Now, the obvious answer to how this happened is that he just blinked and declared himself the winner, ridiculous lawyer-child he was.

The answer that amuses me more, however, is that his reflection literally blinked first, because Miles is just that stubborn and also we have ghosts and spirits and stuff canonically in this world, why not? And also, as a result of this, ever since then Edgeworth and his reflection haven’t been quite in perfect sync anymore. Sometimes it’s like nothing happened, other times it’ll be small - his reflection’s hair or jabot is out of place while Edgeworth’s isn’t - and sometimes it’s quite drastic.

For example: there’s one time where Phoenix and Edgeworth are walking by a large mirror together and Phoenix’s heart almost stops because “Holy crap, Edgeworth, where’s your reflection?!?” And Edgeworth just looks over, rolls his eyes with a sigh, and raps his knuckles on the mirror. Whereupon his reflection quickly pops up, straightening his hair, gives Phoenix a wave, then goes into being the perfect mirror image of Edgeworth you expect a reflection to be. Edgeworth’s only comment to Phoenix’s slack jaw and accusing finger is, “Oh. Yes, it does that sometimes.”

Now in Ducktales, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby are like what, 10? Plus Violet, and Lena is probably only a year or two older than them, so they’re younger than Steven was, and THEY’RE going on all these dangerous adventures, nearly dying on all of them, even though they seem to be having fun

So… do y’all think that they’re all gonna have some form of PTSD like Steven does? I mean their situations are pretty similar… just sayin’
