I need to make the ugliest cover possible for a self pub, please give me pointers on how I can best make my readers' eyes bleed.

the trick is bleeding cowboy.

everyone thinks the ugliest font is comic sans or maybe papyrus, but that’s low-hanging fruit, man, the obvious answer. to get a really heinous cover you gotta make a slightly deeper cut. (and then use papyrus or comic sans as your secondary and tertiary typefaces. and throw arial and times new roman in there for good measure, you can never have too many fonts!)

Next stop: DROP SHADOWS. if your text is still readable, you don’t have enough.

The main event, of course, is ALARMINGLY bad photoshopping of models, ideally with some nightmarish “supernatural” effects. Chuck Tingle is a master of doing this intentionally:

The more completely obviously unrelated photos you can cram in there, the better. Big bonus points for super fake tattoos:

I started reading Game of Thrones to cope with the long wait before the next season. Not only are some characters pretty different from the show, there are some minor things that bother me much more than it should, such as Daenerys’ dark eyebrows and eye color. Even though I wouldn’t want to see a thirteen year old Dany on the show, I decided to draw her more accurate to the book. I’m surprised I’ve never seen anybody make the criticism of the MCU that Thanos is a Mary Sue villain who has no weaknesses and just wins because the plot says so, because he 100% is
