OUGhhhh listen . Thank you for the ask. This might be a bit rambly.

He's been my like. Main oc for years now but it's not been since I got into cyberpunk that he really started going feral.

Anyway. To like summarize his backstory ig. He's an Italian jew from Turin who's dad is a medical researcher that was working on some nanite tech for Biotechnica. His dad got into some trouble w them, made a deal with Arasaka and hired a mercenary to get his family into hiding in America. Rip lives in Georgia until he's 16, comes out as trans and moves with his dad to NC where he starts med school and combat training at Arasaka Academy. He graduates around age 20, goes to work for Trauma Team, does very well there and then gets caught up in an explosion while protecting a patient that leaves him paraplegic. The patient he saves was Jenkins from the corpo prologue and he offers Rip a job at counter-intel plus at the time experimental total spinal replacement cyberware that allows him to walk and such. And a new identity, Vincenzo. Which he shortens to V. Arasaka tells his family he was killed in the explosion and he is cut off from contact with them. He works there, isolated, for several years and then gets fuuuuuuckin Fiiiiiiireeeddddd and then. Some stuff happens and then there's a ghost in his head that he's fucking.

Him as a character he's like. Imagine the world's most autistic husky. With the scariest blue eyes. And imagine if he was a person. Who was 5'1 and contained so much rage. And his special interests include gun specifications, techie/cyberware bullshit and fucking men. Since he got fired from arasaka he's just gone by V because he doesn't want biotechnica or arasaka to come looking for his family, and he's just like. Isolated and enraged and on a downward spiral of sex, drugs and danger until the konpeki job when his life gets flipped upside down
