Buyo really said: "Enough is enough boy stop it now or I'll make you regret it"
Four Seasons p. 44

Though I can't figure out Jaken really complaining aloud about how heartless Sesshomaru is, still there's a bit of jealousy he harbors for Rin being so high in his Lord's consideration and however grown fond of the girl himself, I can bet it that sometimes he does have bursts of the sort (it is part of their bond after all bickering all the time but not seriously).
And then we have THAT line "Don't try to possess him, just fly with him". To me this is the whole point, if you don't get this, you can't get what sort of thing Rin and Sesshomaru have. It doesn't even count if you think of them as father and daughter, friends, lovers, travel companions, husband and wife, they are soulmates because they understand and accept and love each other just for what they are.

Interesting enough, in the passage above from "The Storm" (Ao3 sessrin ff, see link) we have again Rin basically accepting Sesshomaru's wild nature with no need for taking root but on the contrary of the Rin from Four Seasons to whom loving Sesshomaru and living in the wild are one, she's come to learn that there's beauty in the quiet life of the village too and chooses to love Sesshomaru from afar with the certainty that nothing can actually separate them.
(Reminder: personally I don't ship them, the main reason why I came to love Rin, Jaken, A-Un and Sesshomaru even more than Inugang is precisely because no romance was involved and lately I'm more into stories exploring this kind of relationships, but I still enjoy those sessrin fanfics which manage to tell something true and interesting about these characters).
I hate that movie so much for so many reasons... aesthetic too polished, facial features too sharp-cornered and don't get me to start with the thing of the eyes, oh and then Jaken! stupidly, constantly yelling like crazy to his Master to not join forces with Inuyasha when during the trouble-with-cats-arc he'd been the first with sense enough to acknowledge it as a matter of necessity... But I must admit I've never considered this point and it is TRUE.
Though about the "200 yro Inuyasha" thing, canon or not, I don't see it as a real problem for, unless you are already biasad so that you can only think bad of him, Inuyasha is still a boy, a teenager, whether he is chronologically 15 or 200 this fact doesn't change since demons and half-demons lifespan is way longer than human beings'.
Why Inuyasha: Swords of an Honorable Ruler is the worst Inuyasha movie
The third movie is my absolute least favorite of the four. I'll watch 4 over 3 any day.
But it's got Inuparents! Yeah great, fun times, anyway
Here's why I hate it, short and sweet:
It's like Sunrise tried to butcher Inuyasha's character even more than they already have.
Take this scene from the beginning(ish?) part of the movie.

Inuyasha looks concerned about Kagome being injured. That's a canon InuKag moment right?

But then he just leaves? Don't give me that, "he wasn't in control of himself" bullshit. When Naraku forced his demon out, he still refused to kill Kagome and instead tried to save her! He's controlled himself enough that he wouldn't hurt her even when he wasn't in control of himself.
This is the same guy like 100 chapters into the manga series went

Like this guy wasn't about to let Kagome just lay there injured with zero protection and this pompous asshole who probably uses gravel as toilet paper because he likes the aesthetic or whatever

anywhere near her without leaving her with some amount of protection. When Sesshomaru tried to attack Inuyasha with the whole fake arm business, Inuyasha left her in the care of Miroku, whom he didn't quite fully trust either.
And he abandons her with Myoga? Who flees at the slightest perception of what maybe-could-possibly-slightly-be-considered-if-you-squint-and-spin-around-really-fast danger?
And you're going to tell me that he's just going to get up and be like "yeah, this is fine" and stalk off after his half-brother. Canon Inuyasha would've either let it go or carried Kagome with him until he found her a safe place.
But leaving out in the open like that? Please. We know you want to paint him as the ultimate two-timer for drama and 12-year-old-teen-romance-fantasies, but seriously, show some respect for characterization.
Maybe Yashahime wouldn't have sucked more ass than Jaken, if you hadn't been so obsessed with painting Inuyasha as the cheater you dream him of being.
