I’ve decided to rewatch Inuyasha and felt like drawing our girl Kagome

All right here I am with yet another session of "My mind investigating Kikyo". (The Kikyo of the past, precisely, that is, the priestess who used to live in the village with her sister Kaede).

She wanted to be a normal woman. Got it. But... What would "normal" mean to her? She was fed up with demons to chase and the Shikon Jewel to protect and purify, though her role as healer doesn't seem to weigh on her (if the Kikyo of the present and her life style is any indication). So... Did she still want to be a priestess (thus implying her only tedium was her role as fighter) or what she wanted was closing wholly with that life?

It is said that her powers had been getting weak. Does it mean she was meant to lose them entirely? Or maybe she would become something like a "lower priestess"?

And... Well, this is the more important point and also the one more open to different interpretations I presume... Would a normal life actually fit her? Or what she truly needed was an ally, a friend, a lover, someone to open her heart and so feeling less alone?
