castlevania castlevania games fuck konami silent hill metal gear series Konami has sadly been a shitty company for decades long story short there’s a reason why IGA is making games not under Konami now they also tried to copyright the term Visual Novel despite not being the creators of that everything they did to Silent Hill was so so so incredibly fucked up holy hell I will never not be mad about that I’ve never played a silent hill game myself but I understand its place in horror history and obviously Konami does not but yeah even in the NES days Konami was shitty like this especially with demoting people Hitoshi Akamatsu (director of the first three Castlevania games) and his team do not get talked about nearly enough basically after the first game sold well they tried experimenting with the second and it didn’t sell as much as the one before it so they went back to formula with the third and that one didn’t sell as much as the first one but the thing is is those games were still selling WELL and they fucking demoted the guy and presumably other team members to arcade duty so obviously the guy being treated like that left the company and it’s not known what happened to him after that but yeah Konami has been demoting and treating their lead developers like shit for as long as theyve been a company I fucking hate Konami for that so fucking much oh god and the fucking Castlevania NFTs for the series fucking 30th or whatever anniversary oh my god that felt like such an insult they could’ve made a ‘wow happy birthday game’ post and it would’ve been a better celebration of the series AND THE FUCKING NETFLIXVANIA CHARACTERS GETTING NENDOROIDS BEFORE THE GAMES IM GONNA THROW UP I do not claim Netflixvania as a Castlevania property it doesn’t exist <3 absolutely insane that that barely related vampire schlock gets praise merch and attention over the games it’s pretending to be based on Konami loves to pretend the games don’t exist anymore too especially with how low quality things like Grimoire of Souls have been it’s fucking infuriating all of it they either have no idea what they have or they simply just don’t care text post reblogs

Sometimes I’ll see someone get something wrong about Castlevania lore or something and I want to excitedly rant about it to them in the comments, but I generally stop myself cause I know a lot of people take that as rudely assuming someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about and trying to flex on them, but I mean it like sharing about something that I like and think is really interesting that I think they might also like or find interesting ,:’3. castlevania games castlevania akumajou dracula oh yeah it’s bad on there I’ve seen them get basic information wrong on many many pages either that or make up things the games never say and be like ‘ok but it was implied so we can say it’s fact’ they also absolutely refuse to accept that CV4 is a generally accepted as equal telling of CV1 because of the English manual story like they made a whole different page for it separate from Simon’s main page never addressing that the Japanese manual is not like that! fun fact! yes! the American manual is a different story because they marketed it as a sequel overseas to get it to sell! I do think that manual should get its own page and an explanation of it because it is a different story on its own BUT the original CV4 is just a retelling of CV1 the same way that Chronicles and X68000 are shouldn’t the original manual be the thing that determines whether or not the game gets to be included on a character’s page and timeline it’s not a Haunted Castle situation where even the director of it has said it’s not a canon game why does Chronicles get to be on his page but CV4 doesn’t this just screams bias to me which is not what a wiki is supposed to have at all and don’t even get me started on the slurs oh my god does that make looking up anything so so so uncomfortable slurs being in a media should not be handled lightly and then thrown around like as if the media gave you a ‘pass’ and honestly when did Castlevania use this slur I wanna know cause if it was from like one bad English translation from the 80s I am going to turn them into a pile of worms— please when you are getting information on a media take the original language version as the definitive version it should not be this hard I don’t like Netflixvania but holy hell that rant is gross I hate fandom wiki please use Castlevania Crypt or something else anything is better than this hell character profiles wiki and heroes wiki were more accurate in some spots 💀💀💀 reblogs text post incoherent rambling in the tags ^^ prev tags honestly read other people’s tags too they explain better
