A poster I did for "Heroic epics of the peoples of Russia" project by Nikolay Rastorguev Foundation and the Moscow's Department of Culture

Rus Byliny (plural) — oral epic poems in Kyivan and Novgorod Rus, counting more than 400 poems and mostly focusing on the semi-historic deeds of bogatyrs ("great warrior"). Despite common traits, they show a variety of themes, structure and dates of origin. The centerpiece is the most famous bogatyr trio — Ilya of Murom, Dobrynya Nikitich and Alyosha Popovitch with their respective antagonists, while the foreground focuses on much more archaic heroes — Svyatogor and Mikula Selyaninovitch. Heroes of that period inhabit almost a mythological world, and often posses chthonic traits themselves. Even by the time of the Boratyr Trio their stories centered on no longer belonging to the "modern" world.

Text je veľmi vlkodlačí, video zas rozpovedá mýtické kolo roka, kompletne s kováčom Svarogom, scénami z ľudského života a výmenou bohýň ročných období. (pomrky-mrk na mená tvorcov... ;) )

Lyrics are quite werewolf-like, video on the other hand relays mythical wheel of year, complete with smith Svarog, scenes from life of mortals and transition of seasonal goddesses. (also, there's one particular name among creators... ;) )

🇬🇧 Heyaaa. If I were to do an art contest, would anyone be interested in joining? You know the drill: I choose some of my characters, you draw them in your style and after a certain amount of time I choose the winner who'll get a drawing from me as a reward.

To Dcka. Kdybych Uspodala Kreslc Sout, Zapojil By Se Nkdo? Myslm Takovou Tu Klasiku, E Zadm Njak Svoje

Do I want to die in 8th century Tiber valley drowned by a flood, enslaved and forced to fight by Alba Longians or while trecking through forest with no resources (I'd have more luck as a female member of a forest village in which case I might hope to make it through until final battle at river bank)? Or do I want to die in post-civil-war 19th century arid southern states of USA amidst bandits and supernatural threats of undead and bloodthirsty kind (Also brothel ladies had poor working conditions back then and I wonder whether to be more worried about STDs or rough customers, so the safest would be Wetherill ranch, unless I am that one poor servant girl)?

That is the question.

Would you rather...
