Anyone who thinks that doing something the hard way with "willpower" instead of the most effective and efficient way with whatever tools you have at your disposable is a fucking dipshit, and likely an ableist too.

I'm so so so tired of the "meds as a last resort" mentality.

If I get a migraine, could I rub peppermint oil on my temples and lay in a dark room and suffer along until the pain abates and I can take pride in surviving on my will power alone? Sure, I fucking guess. Or I could take my fucking meds and have a functional day.

And the same goes for my damn Adderall. Clearly, I can *survive* without Adderall for my ADHD. I did it for my entire life up until I FINALLY got diagnosed earlier this year. But guess what? I dont NEED my meds. I COULD go without them. I don't fucking want to. I am so much more functional with them, and there is no honor in unnecessary suffering.

Medicine isn't a moral failing and there isn't a specially little corner of heaven reserved for folks who took the fewest number of pills in their life.

Just reblogged a post about this, but this is something about the people who rail against digital art that REALLY annoys me.

Digital art is, in a lot of ways, more accessible than traditional art. And I will explain.

There’s the matter of materials, sure. Yes, tablets are fucking EXPENSIVE, but as someone who has done both digital and traditional art, so are quality traditional art materials. Once you have that tablet and that program, you can just… Create. You don’t run out of paint or pencils, you don’t need to purchase new canvases. You just… Can make. Over and over and over. At least, that’s been my experience with Procreate.

However, there’s the more important aspect of accessibility, at least to me. In digital art, you can rotate the canvas. You can fucking zoom in to do details. You can alter colors and brightness to suit the time of day or environment or your own sight needs. As a disabled artist, who always found a lot of the standing, moving canvases, making the time to do traditional art, the hardest? Digital art has opened up the world of art to me like never before. My eyesight is HORRIBLE. It’s getting worse as I get older, and will continue to do so. I cannot draw, traditionally, like I used to. I cannot see the little details on paper.

On my iPad? I can zoom. I can brighten. I can adjust so that I can continue to draw, even as my eyesight worsens. Digital art allows people with mobility impairments to draw, allows people like myself with chronic fatigue and pain to just… Set up with a tablet in the most comfortable place and work. I can just set it down, turn it off, and come back to it exactly as it was when I’m ready to draw again.

IMO, people who rail against digital art because it isn’t “real art” are misunderstanding two things. One- they think that there is no talent or practice or effort required for digital art. That we just tap a screen and boom. There’s a masterpiece. But digital artists need to actually MAKE art. It’s not magic. And two- I think these people have a very narrow view of what an artists looks like. And that narrow view doesn’t include disabled and neurodivergent people who benefit from the accessibility that can come with digital art.

Sooooo the "Other Girls vs. Me" meme feels toxic af. And somehow, these artists flipped the meme into something more wholesome <3

Lisa

She’s very teasing with you. Lisa calls you darling whenever she sees you. Kisses your lips, but only for a second (after making sure you’re fine with it, you know you can stop her if you don’t want to). She then walks away with a teasing smile unless you pull her back. She actually wants you to pull her back, so if you want to tease her, don’t pull her towards you for a day or so. If she sees your smile while doing this, she knows you’re just teasing her and will walk back herself to pull you in and give you a proper kiss. If you keep it up for too long though, she might get insecure, so please don’t. Whether you pull her back or she comes back herself, you always share a slightly longer kiss. It might end up with a longer while of kissing if you are somewhere more private, like her or your office, or a random corridor. She loves kissing you very much, and it is her most preferred way of procrastination, even though she knows both of you have a lot of tasks to do.

Keqing

Keqing’s very soft with you, especially with her kisses. She doesn’t really care which part of your face she kisses, as long as it’s you. If she had to choose her favourite type of kiss, though, she would probably say early morning kisses. Whoever of you wakes up first wakes the other with light kisses on the cheeks and forehead. Once you’re both awake, you have breakfast together. You share a proper kiss when both of you head off to work.

While she’s working, she dislikes being distracted, so cheek kisses are all you’re getting if you two ever meet during work.

When you’re home in the evening (after you’ve dragged her back home from her duties) and sit on the couch or prepare dinner, you’re always touching each other in some way. There’s a lot of kisses shared before you head to bed to repeat your little routine the following day.

Beidou

She’s a little rough around the edges, but she’s the best at taking care of you. Her favourite kisses are kisses on the lips while you’re holding each other. Your hands on her waist and her hands on your hips while your lips meet in the middle is the perfect thing to her. No matter where you are and how busy she is, whenever she meets you, she takes a few moments to do this with you. She’s also not afraid to do this in public (unless you’re uncomfortable, she will always respect any boundaries you’ve set).

If you don’t join her on her journeys often for whatever reason, she’s gonna miss you terribly. Once she’s back, she is stuck to you for at least three days and if you’re fine with it, she’ll join you everywhere, kissing you every couple of minutes.

In conclusion, she’s a very touchy person who loves to kiss you. Although she doesn’t exactly care where she kisses you, your lips are her favourite place to kiss.

Raiden Shogun

It depends. If you’re with the puppet, there will be no affection, simply because she’s not programmed for it. If you’re with Ei outside or in her Plane of Euthymia, there are a lot more loving ways her affection for you is shown. She’s very fond of nose kisses. The God thinks they’re cute and, because she finds you incredibly cute, it fits in her mind. She keeps you close and, almost as if it’s an instinct, presses a kiss to your cheek every other minute. You do the same for her.

“Proper” kisses are reserved for a more quiet time between the two of you. Ei wants to make them as special as she can and she believes they will lose a bit of that magical feeling if they happen too often. When they do happen, however, it’s a very soft moment. She cups your cheek and you cup hers before she leans in and slowly kisses you. This can go on for minutes and neither of you wants to break it.
