I'd say I'm suprised but I was part of the Pokemon fandom during the Dexxit debacle and part of the TWST fandom during the VDC debacle
Wait a sec, there were death threats over PARAVATI!? Why?! (I just joined this fandom a few month ago I really don't know half of what's happening)
Parvati was one of the Servants drawn by Aotsuki Takao, who had only drawn Boudica (and I think Jaguarman?) beforehand. For some reason, Parvati ended up... incredibly sameface-y to Boudica, and since she's supposed to be a Sakura-face and didn't really resemble Sakura outside of the purple hair, the JP fanbase basically harassed them off Pixiv and Twitter. They had lost a family member around the same time, and were getting messages saying that their family member deserved to die.
Real vile shit, really.
Takao is a really competent artist, and drew plenty of Sakura fanart before then that was considered good, so Parvati turning out so awkward to everyone was surprising. The reaction was... way too extreme.
Luckily they're still making Servants and working with Type-Moon (Nezha and Corday were released afterwards and both of them are really well-liked), but they have less of a social presence now. They're not as vocal about their work and FGO like Pako, Wada, or Azusa. But it's been years at this point, so I hope they're doing better. You really can't find much on them online atm.
