SO I changed my blog name because I created this one when I was like 15 or 16 and it was themed and I had a personal on the side which is now the one I use and like... no, don't have people sit on or bogart blog names, but you can't change your primary so you can delete it and free the name?

And I have to ask everyone stuff as anon or spend time explaining why I'm not a complete stranger asking them things? And even when I like things I can't even like them as the blog I am because this blog is not who I am, it is who I was 5 years ago and now it can never leave.

Is it really that hard tumblr staff? Really?

this is still my stupid primary blog (see description).  I will still show up as can-i-change-my-primary-blog-yet when I follow new people and like your posts

the blog I currently use is a subsidiary to this primary account

I have enough years of archive that I don’t want to lose it / the people I don’t want to see it aren’t enough of a threat to lose it (just hella squick)

so, I changed the url of that blog, blocked the people I don’t want seeing it (or even this blog) (since apparently the blocking function actually does something now) 

also, the description of this blog (that people see me as) no longer links to the blog I use

so this post is mainly for people I’ve liked or followed and think I’m cool enough to come to see who I am
