Haikyuu Hugging Styles <3

Tanaka

Tackles you. He wants to show you how much he loves you through his enthusiasm and you love it. Got all dressed up for date night? Doesn’t matter. TANAKA ATTACK!

Asahi

Big teddy bear hugs. He feels so much bigger than you that he likes to circle his arms around you; it makes him feel like he’s protecting you from everything and you two are in your own world. it’s probably the coziest hug of your life.You make sure to get a hug from Asahi whenever you’re upset or just need a break.

Kuroo

Loves sneaking up behind you and sliding his arms around your waist. He buries his face in the crook of your neck; his breath tickles as he asks how your day has been.

Kageyama’s thought process

(1) Duck down. (2) Arms out. (3) Put arms under their arms. (4) Move forward slightly. (5) Bring arms to the back of the one you are hugging. (6) Squeeze gently. (7) Hold for 3-7 seconds. (8) Reverse from 5-1.

Tsukishima

The first time he hugs you is… awkward. He takes his time trying different techniques and gauging your reactions. He tries side hugs, arms over, arms under, and the over-under approach. Finally he finds the perfect way to hold you: he wraps his hands around your waist– yes, just his hands– and rests his chin on top of your head, allowing you to nuzzle into him and feel his strong grip and every twitch of his fingers on your waist.

Sugawara

Best boi. Sugawara likes to give you a different kind of hug everyday. He’s very open-minded and adventurous and loves to try new things. He’ll hug you anyway you want, as long as he gets to be near you he’s happy.

Daichi

Smooth as hell. Wraps his arms around your hips and holds you gently as you learn your head on his chest. If you’re especially upset he hugs you around the shoulders instead and holds your head while running his hands through your hair gently.

Noya

While similar to the Tanaka method, Noya brings a bit more spunk to the table. I kid you not when I say he pounces. This has nothing, I repeat nothing to do with his below average height. Noya’s personality shines when he jumps and crashes into you, squeezing you tight.

Ushujima

Side hugs only, less u his mama or papa.

Karasuno Boys and the instrument they would play (or role in band)

Daichi: saxophone. it’s his alter ego. he wears a fedora when he plays n everything.

Suga: trumpet!! loves playing slow jazz or songs with tricky melodies. Even plays mexican music once or twice for Tanaka and Noyo to dance to.

Asahi: xylophone. he’s hunched over trying to hit the delicate little keys with the mallet. sticks his lil tongue out when he can’t get a particular chord.

Enoshita: violin or cello. likes the fact that they’re classic and simple, but produce so much beautiful sound.

Nishanoya: kazoo/bongos. Loves anything he can pour his heart into and screams into the kazoo with such passion you just don’t have the heart to tell him to stop. that is, until, he blows right into Daichi’s ear, who then confiscates it.

Tanaka: a guitar hero drum set (he doesn’t know it doesn’t count)) reaaaally loves competing with Saeko and swears he’s the best.

Yamaguchi: backup vocals and bass. Loves the simple fingering and support the bass gives to songs, and when he’s totally in the zone he’s mesmerizing to listen to. That is if he ever lets you listen.

Tsukishima: drums OR keyboard but ONLY like that guy from monsters v. aliens (if u don’t get it look it up). Thinks he’s so much cooler than everyone but looks like a huge dork when playing. His long fingers are great for keyboard tho.

Kageyama: electric guitar. looks up to people like Prince who are the best at what they do, and the small hobby allows him to really let himself go and let the music do all the talking.

Hinata: lead vocals and ukelele/acoustic guitar! Plays for other people and even at parties, but he’s not annoying or awkward to listen to because his genuine excitement over the music itself is fun to watch and listen to

Normalize tsuki with a sense of humor

i wish more people wrote tsukki x reader or tsukiyama stuff where he is laughing and happy and not always grumpy or nonchalant bc i think a lot of his character is when he feels intensely abt something there’s an exception to his usual “coolness”. Like, he’s usually annoyed talking to others but when he talks to y/n, yamaguchi, etc. he feels relaxed enough to laugh and giggles like a little bitch! and that’s what i love! bring back a tsukki w a soft spot and sense of humor. i miss and want him very bad
