Part one of my SU as animals drawings I started a few days ago! I’ve been really busy and low on inspiration but MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS MIXING WAS TOO MUCH NOT TO IGNORE!

Explanation (3am rant in Docs):

Also maybe a bit of favorite-picking here but shhhh

Maybe underrated opinion: Ms. Beakley is THE greatest hugger in the entire world. She probably doesn’t actually hug people much, but when she does it’s like a full-body wrap style hug that shocks you so much that you just kinda sit there in shock for 5 seconds to regain your composure.

Taking after her Granny, Webby’s definitely up in the ranks too. She probably has the arm strength of a snake (don’t know what other metaphor to use) and can squeeze you so hard you hear a crack.

Which DuckTales characters are the best huggers?

There were a lot of hugs that we got on screen, and plenty more offscreen, but what are your guys’ thoughts?

Anyway, I’ll get the ball rolling with a few I had in mind.

Webby is a good place to start. She’s very open and strongly affectionate with people she’s close to, so she’s definitely a good hugger.

Donald is a very protective, paternal man who won’t hesitate to protect the ones he loves (especially if they’re younger); plus, he raised Huey, Dewey, and Louie on his own for 10 years, so he’s definitely had a lot of practice.

Launchpad! I mean, just look at the guy. He’s big, friendly, loyal-who wouldn’t want a hug from him? He is the definition of “golden retriever guy”.

I know I missed plenty of other characters, but that’s the point, I guess. I don’t want to knock out every character in this one post; I want to make room for discussion. I now give the floor to the rest of you.
