DEAD POETS SOCIETY HEADCANON: Dating Todd Anderson Would Includeโ€ฆ

(A/N: Based on a request by @teddy06 that I accidentally deleted, sorry about that, Layne (๐Ÿ˜ญ). Anyway, hope you enjoy this!!)

DEAD POETS SOCIETY HEADCANON: Dating Todd Anderson Would Include
DEAD POETS SOCIETY HEADCANON: Dating Todd Anderson Would Include

Todd is very likely going to be insecure the first few weeks of your relationship. Not because of anything you've done, but because the way he was raised has left him without much self-confidence and he worries that maybe you don't actually like him that much after all.

You may have to reassure him more than once that you actually really like him and aren't going to break up with him unless you have a good reason, but I promise it will be worth it. Why? Because Todd is the sweetest and most attentive boyfriend ever.

This boy will take note of all the little details about you, and he will remember them, and he will tuck them away to use for nice things later.

You mention one time in passing that you like a certain musical? He will get you a poster of that musical for your birthday. You tell him that you had a teddy bear you really loved when you were a kid? He'll buy you a little teddy bear with a nice little note attached to a ribbon around his neck. You shyly admit that there's a part of yourself you're insecure about? Expect daily compliments about that particular part of yourself until you start feeling better about it.

He also talks about you to the rest of the Dead Poets a lot. Like, a lot. To the point where it starts to annoy the other members.

"Oh, did I ever tell you guys about the time when [Y/N]-"

"Todd, we know that you're in love, we get it, but if we have to hear one more [Y/N] story none of us will be held responsible for our actions."

Todd has a tendency to get overwhelmed or overwork himself quite easily, but he hates letting other people know he's struggling; growing up the way he has, he's convinced himself that the only way to let people know he's strong is never asking for help, even when he needs it.

Thankfully, you've learned to recognize the signs of your boyfriend being overworked or tired, and you always know that that's your time to swoop in and provide some comfort.

No matter how many times Todd insists that he's fine (which he will, and which he isn't), you'll always take away his textbooks, tell Neil to stay out of their shared room for a while, and spend an hour or two cuddling with Todd while you play some music in the background.

Even if he doesn't want to admit he needed help in the first place, Todd will always give you a quiet "thank you" afterwards. These cuddle sessions never fail to make him feel better.

Oh dear God, the poems this boy will write about you. By the time youโ€™re three months into your relationship, Todd already has an entire notebook filled with poems heโ€™s written about you.

He would never show them to you, of course - the only people he really shares his work with is Mr. Keating and the rest of the Dead Poets, and thatโ€™s only because they share their work with him as well, so itโ€™s mutually assured destruction. But rest assured, the poems are there, written in lined paper in Toddโ€™s scratchy handwriting, and they are all sweet and beautiful and filled with all of Toddโ€™s love for you.

Dates with Todd can be a bit awkward, since the two of you donโ€™t have much alone time as long as youโ€™re at Welton.

However, on the occasions when the two of you can manage to sneak out, Todd always manages to plan something incredibly sweet and special.

A picnic under the stars in the nearby park, ice skating on the frozen lake during the wintertime, even just sneaking into the school kitchen to bake cookies in the middle of the night - you and Todd have done all of these things on dates, and youโ€™ve loved every single one of them.

And after every date, Todd always insists on walking you back to your room and giving you a kiss goodnight. These kisses are always sweet and light, like heโ€™s afraid of pressing on your lips too hard, and heโ€™s always blushing like a tomato when he pulls away, but you think itโ€™s the most adorable thing ever.

Todd isnโ€™t really big on pet names; if you have a nickname, he has no problem using it to refer to you, but only if itโ€™s what everyone else calls you, and heโ€™ll mainly only refer to you as your actual name.

You, however, have fun calling him the most ridiculous, cheesiest pet names you can think of. Sugar, honeybunch, cutie pie, loverboy - youโ€™ve called him all of these things and more, always delighting in the way his entire face and neck flush when you do, the way heโ€™ll try to hide his face behind his hands or pull up his sweater to cover it.

Of course, if you ever actually thought that your teasing made Todd uncomfortable, youโ€™d stop in an instant, but you can tell that he doesnโ€™t mind it, and maybe even secretly enjoys it - thereโ€™s always a certain way his mouth quirks up at the corners when you call him a particularly ridiculous one.

The other Dead Poets are your biggest shippers.

Neil practically squeals every time the two of you do so much as hold hands around the others, and Charlie makes constant jokes about when the two of you are going to get married and have kids already - which annoys Todd to no end.

โ€œAll Iโ€™m saying is that Charles Anderson sounds like a really good name for a kid. Doesnโ€™t even matter whether itโ€™s a boy or a girl, really, Iโ€™m not gonna be picky as long as I can get a little Charlie Jr. somewhere.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m serious, Nuwanda, shut up!โ€

All in all, you and Todd just being an incredibly sweet, cute, and supportive couple that the whole Dead Poets Society (past and present, Mr. Keating) adores.

ใ€ŠThe BOOK OF LIFEใ€‹ยฐcharactersยฐ: {Walking in on you}

Joaquinโš”๏ธ:

The BOOK OF LIFEcharacters: {Walking In On You}

Poor baby so flustered he can't even apologize properly to save his life

Good thing he's in a relationship with you because you're so sweet you're not even bothered by it

Doesn't matter whether you're bothered or not, he's a gentleman, which you appreciate

Joaquin just finished up his training and was dying to get back to you and receive his daily kisses and praise.

Unbeknownst to him you were getting yourself ready for bed. You were in your undergarments and were just about to put on your nightgown on.

When suddenly the door quickly opens, you jolt upright and swiftly turn to the door.

Joaquin's eyes widen as he sees your near completely bare skin and he stumbles on his own words trying to apologize properly.

"Ah!- I- uh I didn't mean to- um HMM!"

Joaquin then covers his face, which was heating up a LOT.

You calmed down immediately when you realized it was your husband and chuckled a little when you witnessed him panicking.

You walk up to him, which, when he noticed this, caused him to get even more flustered and panicked.

You removed his hand from his eyes and say, " Mi amor, you do realize we're married? You don't have to feel embarrassed" you said.

Joaquin looked at you and felt his heart quicken more than it did before. You're hands stroke his to sooth him.

You're night gown was covering you enough, so it wouldn't freak him out.

You bring your hand to his face caressing his cheek.

He leans his face into you're hand and gives it a small kiss.

He is so lucky to have you.

Maria๐Ÿฅ€:

The BOOK OF LIFEcharacters: {Walking In On You}

Maria doesn't get flustered much because she knocks first and she's seen you in that state before many times

So it's unlikely she walks in on you, but she has once or twice cause she doesn't expect you to be there

When she does she complements you and leaves the room for you to change

Maria was walking around the house looking for Chuy, the last place she looks is the room you two share together.

The room you just happened to be changing in.

So when she walks in she sees you removing you're shirt.

The door opening startles you as you quickly pull your shirt down again. Maria was also flinched at your presents for she hadn't known you'd be in there.

You both exhale softly, relieved it was your own lover.

"Cariรฑo, you scared me", Maria claimed, her hand still on her heart.

"I'm sorry but you did scare me too" you admit and continued what you were previously doing.

Maria chuckled at your response and noticed Chuy sleeping on your shared bed.

'Found him', she thought with a smile.

Manolo๐Ÿ’€๐ŸŒน:

The BOOK OF LIFEcharacters: {Walking In On You}

*sigh* Manolo where do I even begin

Alright so mans has a look when ever he looks at you he just falls in love with you all over again

When he sees you in THIS kind of way he has a freaking Heartattack,, of course he sees you as goregous but he can't help but feel flustered, arguably more than Joaquin

He's the same with Maria, he knocks before entering a room he's aware you're in . . . . . That being said "a room he's aware YOU'RE IN"

If he has no idea you're in a certain room he doesn't feel obligated to knock, so that's basically how this situation started. It was an accident.

But you're not bothered. In fact, you had no clue he was in the room with you. He is quiet as a mouse.

Manolo was feeling pretty sleepy, more than usual, and that's to be expected when having a day out with Joaquin.

You always remind him whenever he's feeling sleepy to take a nap or just to sleep early and he takes this advice because it always helps.

So he starts heading to you're shared bed room.

What he didn't know is that you had gotten home before him and had just finished bathing.

A towel was covering you exposed body, however this will not help.

Manolo has now reached the room, he opens the door quietly and he when he realizes your current state . . . His face burns like fire.

Manolo stands there for a while, then without you noticing him there he swiftly yet quietly closes the door.

After doing so he doesn't really know what to do now. He pretty much just shut down.

The only thing he says is, "Dios mรญo", while putting both hands over his burning face.

His heart can't take this.

 PIPS Headcanons

๐Ÿ’He is a big tease

๐Ÿ’Even so he's still sincere about his feelings for you and proves it with physical affection

๐Ÿ’He can't help but fall for you anytime you give him kisses, like anywhere. Pip even has his lovesick look on his face that he tries to cover up(which is impossible ๐Ÿ˜Œ).

๐Ÿ’Hugs from behind are a must

๐Ÿ’Pip gives you forhead kisses, implying that he will always protect you no matter what it is.

๐Ÿ’When you give him random hugs he doesn't question it, he reciprocates it with no hesitation and a small smile.

DATING MANOLO AND JOAQUIN

Joaquin

DATING MANOLO AND JOAQUIN

Now we all know joaquin is a cocky person

And he likes to show off when fighting

So if he is interested in you, he's going to be showing off more than usual

I'm talking about giving flirtatious smirks and winks when he believes you're looking

He does this even before you start dating

He may be cocky and a show off but when a fight costs your life he's going to take it seriously because he loves you that much

After he became less cocky, after the Battle, he built up the courage to speak to you like a normal person and ask you on a date

Deeper into the relationship he has been so gentle and patient

He loves to the point where he'd give up his life for you and of course he knows you'd do the same

Dates with him are peaceful, but if you're the kind of person that likes parties he fine with that too

Manolo

DATING MANOLO AND JOAQUIN

When it comes to Manolo and his love for you, he is a ride or die, no ifs ands or buts (heh butts โ˜ป๏ธ)

He can not live without you, he loves you that much

When he first met you he thought you were nice and when you too got closer he fell DEEPLY IN LOVE, he is very obvious about it too

Like I said when it comes to you he is a ride or die, he will do anything to save you or atleast be with you

Dates with him are so romantic, he puts his love, passion, and soul into it

He's not the kind of person to party so I don't believe he'd feel comfortable with that, but he's okay with you attending

Honestly a relationship with either of these men is like paradise to me ๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ’•
