I want Silver’s birth parents to reclaim him and force him into an arranged marriage with the crown prince/princess of an allied country as soon as he turns eighteen. He doesn’t get to see Malleus, Lilia, or Sebek until a few years later, when “his people” are finally ready to start making progress on their Peace Accords with the fae…

And because I am indecisive to a fault and mentally unwell, shit will go down in one of two ways:

Malleus is also wed to another and there is an incorrigible amount of pining on both their parts. Unfortunately, Silver is loyal to his vows—no matter how much he hated making them—and Malleus is under strict orders from his grandmother to preserve the union, so they can only lament the opportunities that have passed them by :)

Malleus has been waiting to marry Silver and is utterly furious to see him courting the enemy. An even worse war breaks out between humanity and the fae, and Malleus makes sure that he knows it’s all his fault <3

Soooo how we feeling about chapter 7 so far?

ABSOLUTELY WRETCHED!!! I'm sorry this response is late (as well as the rest of them, I've been on a long hiatus due to school TT) but oh my god, even having the luxury of multiple months to process the news has not helped in the slightest!!

I am still utterly floored that Silver is hinted to be the son of some other royals—a theory I've been drooling over since I was first introduced to his character—and that twst really is leaning into the whole Lilia-isn't-actually-that-great-of-a-parent thing. (It's a rather bold move, taking into consideration just how much of the fandom loves his sweet, wholesome dynamic with Silver, myself included; however, I'm so happy that all those little crumbs of... off-ness are coming to fruition.) If I'm being completely honest, half of this Book feels like pure fanfic to me, but I am so here for it...!

As of right now, my favorite part definitely has to be Silver breaking down and crying... ^^; (I'm not a sadist, I swear!) It's just, this is the first time we've seen such a vast onslaught of emotion with him, and he is absolutely valid for it; for the longest time, he's simply dealt with his father's whims without complaint—even upon receiving the unceremonious news that the man will be leaving forever, and soon at that—and yet, even during his one moment of weakness, he's still doing out of sight of the one person he cares about the most. Malleus' subsequent reaction is the awful cherry on top: Romantic or not, this is the final tipping point that drives him to take action, and I find it so lovely that for once, we can see such obvious signs of Silver's love and devotion for his family being reciprocated. (More yandere!Malleus fics, anyone? Especially with that chilling ending of part two...?!?!)

Overall, I'm very, very, very excited to see what happens next—perhaps the Time Loop Theory being proven true? Crowley lore? conflict between Lilia and Silver's birth family? actual flashbacks of them all in Briar Valley?—and will definitely be going SO FERAL over it. What if, because this is not only the Dream Quartet’s first time seeing the contents of Lilia’s dreams and the past but Malleus’ as well—Lilia never tells them anything, ever!!—he let’s it continue on for longer than normal… only to discover that his parents’ murderers were none other than Silver’s ancestors and be overcome with a vicious urge for blood. He’s not playing around anymore—where the main objective had once been their capture and imprisonment, he’ll now settle for nothing less than Silver’s head on a platter.

Okay, so @llondonfog and I were talking about Silver pricking his finger in Book 7, and then I remembered I did this. It’s unfinished (because I got lazy TT), but I think the concept’s neat, at least… ^^;

I think that the Knight of Dawn title should be inheritable so that Silver can get a cute little name to match perfectly with his Dorm Uniform card’s Groovy :)

Lilia cloaking Silver in his magic upon first starting to raise him, keeping him doused with fairy dust at all hours of the day, forcing him into silence whenever they'd go out... Only for past!General Vanrouge to encounter him a decade later in the midst of his dreams, wondering why in the world this wretched child seems so tantalizingly familiar.

"You, there, human—Why do you bear my mark?"

(And perhaps this lends itself to a bit more aggression on his part, taking keen offense to the prospect that after so many years spent trying to fend off his doubt, he truly is capable of betraying his Queen... that there will come a day when he'll be presented with the choice he's longed for all his life—and that he'll have the greed to take it.)
