New Chapter Out!

I am in no way an artist. I used refrences and tried my absolute best! I am actually learning to draw.

The Ancient Romans believed that both intelligence and character could be transferred through breastmilk so all I'm saying is that that wetnurse must've been the nicest woman in westeros to single-handedly overcome the dysfunction gene in not only one but TWO targaryen children

Im Rewatching Aegons Coronation And I Find Helaenas Reactions Interesting. As Aegon Walks To The Crown,

I’m rewatching Aegon’s coronation and I find Helaena’s reactions interesting. As Aegon walks to the crown, the knights’ swords falling one by one as he takes his steps and looks up with tears, Helaena is looking so intensely at him. Her attention is focused on him alone, up to his anointing. Its as if she’s trying to remember him as much as she could before the crown will doom them. Is she mourning Aegon's old self before he becomes King? But at the moment the crown is placed on his head, Heleana looks away in pain. She doesn't see it.

When Aegon is crowned and looks at his family, she looks back and bows but that subtle expression on her face says a million things. She’s sad, angry, resigned. Then she looks away again, this time with her eyes closed, as if knowing that at any moment the beast beneath the boards will come.

When Meleys shows up, there’s almost conviction in her expression, of a vision coming true to life. It’s like she realized, yes, I have seen this, I knew it, the beast beneath the boards.

I noticed that an amazing fic I read with over 60k words and over 900 kudos...didn't receive a single comment in 2022.

There were some comments in 2021, then a gap, then a few comments from this year. That is insane.

Ao3 is not built like Wattpad, it is not meant to be treated like the 'latest hits' page where you only read the new works, or where you only click on sort by number of kudos. It doesn't matter if the fic you like is not wip anymore - if you really like the story, comment. A simple heart will do. The author won't think you're annoying, in fact they'll probably be incredibly happy.

Fic authors don't deserve to have their work just disappear with no engament after few weeks pass. The fics don't deserve it either

I saw a comment by someone on reddit who said they no longer comment on any fanfiction because of the risk of it being AI and ... that just seems like such a cop out to me, not to mention incredibly cruel to authors.

Please please please do not stop commenting on all fics or interacting with authors because you are worried about things being AI. The risk is slim, and the damage you do to authors by doing this is awful.

Writers put so much effort into their fics. For people to openly admit they still read and consume these fics, but choose not to comment on anything because of the possibility of someone using AI for their writing is incredibly selfish. You're punishing authors by doing this. You're not being moral or helpful or crusading for any useful cause - you're just hurting authors.

Ironically, by doing this, you're actually more likely to cause authors to stop writing (silence does this), and people who can't write will fill the gaps left by creating AI writing - so you're making the problem worse, not helping anyone.

If you want to support authors and writers, then SUPPORT them! Reblog work and send authors asks, leave comments and kudos, and above all don't punish people with silence.
