It's So Sad That A Literal Illumination Movie Pays More Acknowledgement To The Forgotten Gems (Kid Icarus
It's so sad that a literal Illumination movie pays more acknowledgement to the forgotten gems (Kid Icarus and FZero) than their literal creators (Nintendo.)

Behind the scenes of the brothers bedroom!! Hehehe, I like the FZero poster

The Golden Snake Tooth | Prologue
Prologue | Next chapter
Author's note: I’m so excited for this series and I hope you all like it.
Notice/warnings: hunted, experimented, extinct, hiding
▪▪▪
Once, long ago, there were sundrop snakes.
They would look like normal yellow snakes, but if you looked at their teeth, you would see that they’re gold instead of white.
A lot of people, human and animal, would go to them if they’re ill or hurt badly.
The sundrop snakes would bite the person, but it wouldn’t hurt them. Instead, it would heal them, like they were never ill or hurt.
Some were grateful for them, for their help and gifts.
Some aren't grateful for them, they were still monsters.
That didn’t bother the sundrop snakes.
But what did bother the sundrop snakes were those who were curious and greedy.
The reason that the ones that got curious and greedy is because the venom is so strong that it can not only heal the sick and injured but can reverse aging temporarily.
Some were so curious and greedy that the sundrop snakes went extinct.
All except for one.
A sundrop snake hatchling.
The sundrop hatchling was found by six that were part of the curious and greedy for power but they were careful.
One of the six is a professor and the caretaker of the sundrop, making sure that they don’t lose their chance of eternal youth, careful experiments, and keeping the sundrop snake hidden.
The sundrop snake has been hidden in the deep part of the woods for 21 years, until now.
Pit x Dark Pit/Pitcest is honestly not exactly incest as much as it is self-cest. Which I personally am even less fond of.
As a YouTube comment I found put it, it's like making out with a mirror.
Fitting since Dark Pit was canonically created by a mirror—
The case of shipping in the Kid Icarus community is honestly quite a strange one.
I know it’s got a lot of popular ships like Pit/Dark Pit, Pit/Palutena, etc. But the ships themselves and the context between them are… peculiarly complex to say the least? If you really think hard about it, barely any ship between the characters is romantically compatible.
Like, for one, Pit/Dark Pit. Or as others like to call it, “Pitcest.”
I personally, am not a fan of Pitcest. Not because I don’t like the “cute and quirky boy dates edgy boy” dynamic, but literally any ship with “cest” in the name is just a turnoff for me. Plain and simple.
That being said, I’m not the biggest fan of Pit/Palutena either, for obvious reasons. That being Pit is portrayed as an adolescent (Sakurai even states he’s canonically 13 in human years) and she’s portrayed as a fully matured woman. Even if ages weren’t a problem, there’s still the unbalanced power dynamic these two have with each other.
Yes, I know it’s heavily implied in the Japanese version that he has feelings for her, but I never really saw her as a “potential love interest.” I always saw her as his mother figure or parental guardian.
The one ship I can kind of see as compatible is Pit/Viridi, and even then there’s the “age gap” that’s commonly disputed, since Viridi is said to be eight in human years. Not as big as the Pit and Palutena one, but it’s still there nonetheless.
I know there’s a hella lot of debate about these characters’ ages, whether they count as adults or not because, “they’re a thousand years old, they’re basically immortal” which is a whole ‘nother can of worms that I honestly don’t wanna open.
Personally, I find it interesting when a popular work doesn’t have a lot of room for shipping as opposed to a bunch of other franchises. It goes to show that romantic relationships are opportunities people can have, but they’re not requirements.
