The amount of assholes here who don’t understand what military service does for individuals, the country they serve, and the world at large is abhorrent.

I admit I’m not the most politically savvy person, but all I’ve heard about Harris has been negative or at the very least unflattering. If she becomes the Democrat candidate I honestly think they will just be handing the election to Trump.

If the rally cry for her is ‘anyone but Trump’ or any variant of saying her race or sex is the reason you should vote for her, that just shows how bad of a pick she is and how— and I’m sorry if this pisses you off but it’s true— stupid, and possibly even racist, you are as a human being.

If anyone here knows her political stances, policies, and accomplishments and wants to share them, giving me and anyone reading this an actual reason to consider her as a presidential candidate, I am all ears and will gladly hear you out. But do not just reply or DM me saying that I should vote for her just to ensure Trump isn’t anointed. Give me something to actually work with PLEASE.

Sacrificing yourself for a just cause does not mean committing suicide to get your point across or to try and emotionally manipulate people into doing something.

Setting yourself on fire, one of the most painful ways to die, is not showing commitment to a belief.

Whatever his ideals, no matter if you believe his stance was correct or not, stop calling this a sacrifice. It was a suicide.

Stop insulting service members, stop promoting antisemitism, and stop insinuating that doing something like this is a GOOD thing.

No disrespect to anyone who decides to become a stay at home spouse or parent, but in the event it does happen I give this advice: Whoever is making more or is likely to be making more in five to ten years is the one who should keep working. No your sex or gender doesn’t matter. For the prosperity of your family, whoever brings in the big bucks should keep working and IF the other one wants to be a stay at home spouse or parent, have that discussion and enjoy the outcome whatever it may be.
