Wataru doesn't forgive Eichi for what he did, he said so himself and his main reason for joining fine was just to end the war against the Oddballs. WataEi is highly toxic and no one sees it from Wataru's pov, you just see the act he puts on around Eichi (and toxic relationships aren't always visibly toxic or even toxic 100% of the time). Eichi took a lot from of Wataru such as his friendships that he'll never be able to properly rebuild because he had a crush and was roo much of a coward to just go up to the guy and tell him and Wataru said himself that he will never forgive him for that or be able to look at him the same away again, he just didn't want the Oddballs to fight fire with fire and make things worse than they already were. Wataru/Lolthia is canon and a healthy relationship, Wataru didn't just propose to me, he MARRIED ME YOU IDIOT!

(Btw, I hate Eichi for good reason. If you condone what he did, then that says a lot abt your character and morals ngl)
