Sleeping with the enemy || chapter 1

Sweat gathered on your body as you watched the flames flick away. Maybe it was the close proximity to the fire or it was the building blaze inside of you. Whatever it was, the lingering heat wasn't doing your sour mood any good.

You didn't know how long the burning red had been alive but you couldn't do anything but watch as your family's warehouse burned to the ground.

As the flames flicked away at the last standing structure of your family's livelihood a much angrier spark was beginning to burn.

Your family relied on this warehouse. It was what held most of your valuable materials such as drugs, weaponry and many other things. Your family profited off of selling the goods to underground syndicates. You were suppliers, or as you like to call yourselves, the backbone of the criminal underworld.

So without it your family's business would suffer greatly. It was true enough you had more warehouses to your disposal but without this one your family was at a huge loss. It was what was responsible for most of your profits.

Since the warehouse was in the city it didn't take long for a random pedestrian to notice the flames while he was on his late evening walk. It didn't take long for the engines of red to show up. You left the site with that spark of anger, now a fiery storm starting in your chest and filling up your whole body with a blazing rage.

If only you knew who did this, you'd make them pay.

"Another successful day for bangtan boys!" Jimin roars mightily. Rapidly raising his soju bottle high above his head as cheers ring out through the bar packed with Bangtan members.

"Let's get it!" Jungkook shouts from his seat where a busty blond was running her breasts against his arm. It really was a wonder how she didn't flinch at the volume of the man she was clearly trying to seduce. Not that she would succeed anyway. Yoongi didn't think Jungkook was into women.

A loud clanging rang out through the room, bringing everyone's attention to the man standing by the bar with a bottle filled with one of the most popular brands of beer in his hands.

"Woo! Namjoon Hyung speech! Speech!"Jungkook chugs more of his champagne.

"Yes thank you Jungkook, if you'd like to let me continue."

"Sorry hyung!" Jungkook shouts again, this time getting a wack in the back of his head, "Let him talk." Jin hisses quietly, a massive contrast to his youngest dongsaeng indeed.

"Congratulations to Jimin, Taehyung, Hoseok and Jungkook for the blinding success in aiding the take down of L/N corp. Here's to them for a brilliant first strike."

Cheers of celebration ring out through the bar. The atmosphere was cheery and bright. Yoongi found it quite ironic really, the reasons for the mirth being the take down of another's livelihood. But Yoongi didn't linger on that thought. They won, they took down a pretty big supplier warehouse.

Maybe Yoongi found the whole celebration ironic but he could see why it was necessary.

Sure, bangtan was a big syndicate but you could never be too careful. Yoongi understood Namjoon's goal to take down the L/Ns. Especially when they had refused to give them weapons several times because they were already involved with the rivals of Bangtan. With the L/Ns refusal to aid Bangtan, they had to go. It was a spiteful thing really, but Bangtan were ok with being spiteful if they got their message across.

Don't mess with forces you can't control.

And Bangtan would never be controlled.
