It’s pouring rain where I live and all I can think about is taking my baby puddle jumping.

I could help them put their rain boots on, and hold their coat steady while they put their arms in. And I’ll zip it up for them too, because that Mama’s job, not theirs.

And we’ll go outside for a walk and I’ll hold their hand while they splash in every puddle they see. And by the end we’ll both be soaking wet but I’ll also be smiling because a little water is a small price to pay for seeing my baby so happy.

And then I’ll help them into a nice warm bath and they can get all sleepy in the water, trusting that their mama will take good care of them.

I’ll wrap them in a big warm towel when they’re all done and help them get dressed in the softest jammies I can find. And we’ll snuggle up by the window to watch the raindrops, while I read them stories and watch them stare at the beauty of nature like they’re discovering it for the very first time…

Reminder that it’s always always okay to cry when you’re regressed! Agere isn’t always sunshine and rainbows and giggles! Sometimes it’s sad, and a way to vent out everything off your chest. It’s always okay to not be okay!! <33
