Atti-is-your-friend - Atticus "Atti" Day - Tumblr Blog
Felix blinked back at Jaime. He frowned at him. Because of course they would go after Kwan. Of course they would. Why would Jaime ever doubt that? He took Jaime by the elbow. "Come on, love. Let's go find him." He guided Jaime out of the Institute. Sending Bo a quick text to let him know what was happening. His parabatai could meet up with them if he chose to. That wouldn't make a difference as to what Felix intended on doing. He kept a hand on the small of Jamie's back as they stepped out into the night. "Do you know where he may have gone?" Felix asked softly. Having two of them in a frenzy wouldn't be of any use to them. So Felix would keep his head about him. Knowing that Jaime would be too upset to. But if he did know where Kwan had gone, it would make it easier to find him. Felix did consider asking some of the other nephilim to come out to help. But that might alert Hayden. And Felix wasn't sure they wanted Hayden involved just yet.
He let Jaime lead the way. Trusting his instincts to lead them to his parabatai. They came upon and alleyway. The remnants of magic sat heavy in the air. It clung to his skin as they stepped in closer. There, in the corner were two figures. Felix recognized Kwan immediately. He caught Jaime by the wrist to keep him from going to him. Needing to make sure the danger had passed before he allowed him to. Cradling Kwan was a young fae boy. He was crying, clutching at Kwan. Mumbling things over and over again. That as they drew closer Felix could hear. He was begging. Begging someone.
Felix couldn't pick up anything other than the ghost of the magic. So he released Jaime to run to Kwan. He approached slower. As to not scare the fae worse than he was already.
Atti didn't notice the two figures at first. They seemed to materialize out of the darkness at the mouth of the alley. He clutched Kwan's bloodied mangled body closer to him. The tears were still streaming down his face. He could feel Kwan's heart beating but that was all he knew. And it wasn't beating nearly as fast as he wanted it to be. One of the figures approached, throwing himself down by them. He reached for Kwan, and Atti made a sound. A terrified cry. He held Kwan tighter, shaking his head over and over again.
The second of the two figures approached them. And it took Atti a long time to register that they were nephilim too. They were nephilim. He let out an inconsolable sob. "Help me..." He whimpered. "Please....he's dying....he's....Kwan."
Kwan glared at the nephilim they hurt his Atti, that threatened Atti's family. "We are many, asshat. Come at me!" Kwan growls, charging when the Fae did as their battle ensued. Kwan had to hand it to the Fae, he was a competent fighter. He could tell the Fae was just as highly trained as he was. Then it hit him, this was the deranged knight that Nyx warned them about that was rampaging the city.
The Fae was good but Kwan wasn't incompetent himself. So the battle waged on, the Fae howling in pain when Kwan dealt a deep cut to the other man's arm, making him switch hands that held his blade as blood gushed from his wound. "Give it up old man. I can do this all day." He goads, sweeping the Fae's feet. "You don't fuck with my Atti." He growls, landing a few more blows and cuts before he goes flying through the air and hitting the wall with sickening crack. He felt his rib crack, bone puncturing his lung and making it hard to breathe. His head hit the wall and he cried out, blood pouring down his face before he landed on his arm which broke and twisted at an odd angle. He passed out cold from the trauma.
Meanwhile across town, Jamie and Felix were in his room talking about things after their talks with Bo. Jamie felt a sudden rush of anger through his bond with Kwan that was so intense he gasped.
"Kwan! Something's wrong." Jamie gasps, feeling a boost of adrenaline and then excruciating pain that brought tears to his eyes. Then he felt nothing. "He's hurt. I can't feel him! We need to find him." He chokes out with tears running down his face. He could feel the pull of their bond enough to track him but not his emotions. He sobbed as he slipped on his shoes and grabbed his bow despite being on leave. He couldn't just leave Kwan there to die. He turned his wide eyes to Felix. "Please, Lix. He's my family." He chokes out.
Malachi's eyes held Skylar's. There was rage in them, rage, desire and something else Skylar could not identify. The rage was from Skylar pulling away from him as he did. "Soulmate?" He spat. "You already have a soulmate!"
Straightening, Skylar held his head high. "I do. And he is not you. It has never been you. You rampaging about the city, needlessly attacking innocents is not going to change that."
The older fae's lip curled in a snarl. That anger. It blazed in his eyes. And had Skylar not had something so precious to protect, he would have cowered away from it. "Do not think I do not remember how you ran from me. How you hid yourself from me. You shall not be forgiven for that." He took a step forward, driving Skylar back a step. "Soulmate or not. You. Belong to me. You will always belong to me. And I shan't allow you to get away again. But..." He held out his hands. "It will be you who decides how many innocents as you say will fall under my hand."
Atti had been watching Skylar and the strange fae with horrified eyes. He hadn't known. If he'd known he never would have left. Put Skylar in danger as he had. It was his fault. All his fault. Angry tears threatened to fall down his cheeks. But then, he felt him. Kwan. Kwan was there. He felt it in his heart. And then his voice, he heard him. And the sound of his voice was such a relief to Atti. Because it would be okay now. Kwan would make it okay. It was what Kwan did. What his kind did. The nephilim appeared before him. Marks black as night, but he glowed.
Malachi and Skylar both jumped, turning to face the new threat. Skylar moved further away while Malachi's attention shifted away from him. He needed to get to Atti. And this nephiilim, whoever he was, had come just in time.
"Nephilim!" Malachi snarled, squaring his shoulders at the other man. "I thought I'd dealt with you already. You have no stake in this." But he didn't allow the nephilim to speak before he was on him. And the two began to fight. A dance of combat.
Skylar used the distraction and bolted for where Atti sat crumpled on the ground. He seized him by the arms, pulling him to his feet. "Come on....come...sweet Atti we must go!"
But Atti only had eyes for the two locked in battle. His eyes wide and horrified as Malachi produced a hunting dagger and used it against the nephillim, driving him back. "But....but Kwan." He said. Finally seeming to notice Skylar there.
Kwan. Skylar remembered. Was, Atti's nephilim. It made so much more sense to him now. Why Atti had run off in the first place. "We have to go." Skylar said more urgently, pulling on Atti, but only making it a step before the younger fae stopped again. "Atticus!" Skylar hissed. "We have to go!"
The sound of his full name did something to Atti's focus and he turned his wide eyes more towards Skylar now. Seeming to track a little better.
"We have to go." Skylar said again, ultimately very sorry he had to do this at all. Knowing how important it was for Atti. For Kwan. But getting him back to the safety of the studio was the only thing Skylar could focus on just then.
Malachi let out a howl of outrage, the nephilim, Kwan, having finally managed to hit him. Blood streaming down from a long gash on his arm. He caught Kwan by the back of the neck, hurling him through the air. The nephilim's body hit the wall with a crack that echoed through the alley.
Atti let out a cry. He tried to go to Kwan then, but Skylar held him still. Whirling back on Skylar he started to shake. The adrenaline being too much for him to bear. And Kwan. Kwan lay bleeding at Malachi's feet. "Help him!" He pleaded to Skylar. "Please! Help him!"
There was nothing else Skylar could do. He realized in that moment. A firm resolve tightening his features. Gently, he cupped the side of Atti's face, brushing a kiss to his forehead. "Tell Eric..." He said into his ear. "Tell Eric I'm sorry. And that I love him." Atti stared back at him with wild eyes. "It is going to be okay." He told him. Because he'd make it so.
Skylar left Atti then. Moving so quickly it was like he vanished from one spot into the next. Malachi stood over the motionless body of the nephilim boy. Dagger held high. Ready to deliver the killing blow. But Skylar fell on top of Kwan, holding him close, clutching at him. "Stop!" He cried. "Stop this madness, Malachi! Stop!"
Startled by Skylar's sudden appearance, Malachi actually staggered back a step. His eyes were dark, pupiless. His breathing hard and labored. But he lowered the dagger. He stared down at Skylar as he clutched the lifeless body of the nephilim.
Atti had fallen back against the wall. Tears streaming down his face. In such shock he couldn't move, couldn't think. His eyes locked on Kwan, held tightly in Skylar's arms. Kwan who was bleeding, lifeless. And he screamed then, a piercing cry.
Malachi sheathed his blade. He cast an indifferent look at the wailing fae. Almost in disgust. He reached down, catching Skylar by the elbow. He easily pulled him from of the nephilim. "I've no time for this." He growled, hauling Skylar up and against him. His hand closing possessively on the back of his head, holding him there. Almost like a lover would. Almost. But the touch sickened Skylar and he squeezed his eyes shut against it. A disgusting, sticky laugh reverberated through him. Jostling Skylar as he did it. "This is over." He told the nephilim boy. "Tell your people." He didn't much care if his message was delivered or not. He'd gotten what he came for. He opened a portal with a wave of his free hand. Stepping through it, pulling a struggling Skylar with him. The two disappeared.
Atti let out another anguished cry. He couldn't force his legs to work so he crawled to Kwan. His jeans becoming muddy and unraveling as he did so. He pulled the nephilim into his lap. "Kwan...." His voice was hoarse, panicked. "Kwan....please." He begged him. "Open your eyes....Kwan." He felt like his chest was going to explode. A fear gripping him, preventing him from taking a breath. He choked on a sob. And he begged, and he pleaded with Kwan. Wishing, praying for someone, anyone to come and help him.
Kwan hadn't seen Atti in a while and despite them having video chats while Atti was confined to the studio with Skylar by Eric and David, he missed holding and kissing him. He knew something was going on if Eric and David had him quarantined to the studio so he tried his best to hurry so that Atti wasn't alone after he sent the text saying he wanted to see him.
He felt fear run through his bond with Atti followed by pain and Kwan used his stele to activate his speed rune and got to Atti just in time to see a menacing Fae dropping him from his hold around his throat and another small Fae, who Kwan assumed was Skylar, distracting the threat. This was the one everyone was protecting and Kwan felt his protective instincts kick in to protect both his boyfriend and the other Fae Atti had come to be fond of.
"HEY YAH!" Kwan screamed out, blade at the ready and appropriate runes activated. He sized up the man, noting they were similar and height and build with Kwan being slightly taller than the menacing Fae. "Why don't you pick on someone you're own size fucker?" He spat.
Atti really hadn’t intended on sneaking out of Genius Labs. He had been very obedient in staying put as Eric bid him to do. To keep Skylar company. Skylar who for some reason was confined to the studio as he was. But, Kwan had texted. And when it came to Kwan anything else just didn’t seem as important.
Skylar who had looked so tired, actually fell asleep. Curled up on the sofa with a blanket Atti had put over him. And Atti thought maybe it would be okay for him to meet Kwan for a little while at least. Because he missed the shadowhunter. Who was now his boyfriend since the party. And surely Eric and Skylar would understand his need to see him.
So, Atti sneaked out while Skylar slept. It was night. So dark Atti could barely see through the gloom. But he moved towards the meeting place Kwan had suggested to him. He decided to take a shortcut through an alley. And was only partly through when a figure seemed to materialize before him. He came to a stop, bewildered.
“Well… aren’t you adorable.” Said a voice so cool it made Atti shiver. Then the voice came again, behind him this time. “It’s a little late to be out by yourself isn’t it?”
Atti turned around still trying to locate the person. But they kept disappearing in and out of the shadows. “I’m not by myself.” He said, squinting. “Eric and Skylar-“ And as soon as Skylar’s name passed his lips a jolt went through him. Then something pulled at him, some unknown force. He gasped because it had frightened him.
The figure was in front of him suddenly. Reaching out towards him with fingers like tentacles. Atti cried out and stumbled back a step. But his back met brick, holding him in place. “Skylar…” he said. And it was a he, Atti realized. “Where is my Skylar? Where is my love?”
“Your love?” Atti asked, because of all else he was a curious being. “But he’s Eric’s love.”
A hand shot out, seizing him around the throat. Pinning him back to the wall. “Who is Eric?” He snarled, so angry Atti shuddered from it.
Atti was very confused. Very frightened. And he couldn’t understand why the man was so angry with him. He hadn’t done anything.
Skylar awoke with a start. A sense of impending dread had woken him from a fitful sleep. He sat up, blearily blinking around the tiny office. Unable to shake the feeling that something was wrong. It took him a long moment to figure it out. It was too quiet. Much too quiet. Atti’s presence was never quiet. He was always in motion. Always making some sort of noise. And the lack of it, sent a cold shard of fear through him. Atti wasn’t here.
He scrambled to his feet, fatigue quickly forgotten. He needed to find Atti. He searched the studio with a frantic intention. But he could not find him. He wasn’t there.
Skylar knew he shouldn’t. Knew he needed to stay where he was. But the fear gripped him, knocking any sense out of him. He left the comfort of the studio and braved the night. Being on his own for the first time since the party. He didn’t know where to even begin looking. But then he felt something. Something that tightened around him. Like a spell of some sort. Someone had invoked a spell on him. It closed around him like a vice, threatening to suffocate him with the intensity of it.
He wasn’t sure how he’d known with such certainty that Atti had been the one to do it. The one that had said his name. And that meant Atti had to be with him. With Malachi. He let out a cry of rage. Because how dare he. How dare Malachi focus his attention on Atti.
Skylar let go of himself. Allowing the spell to pull him. To lead him towards the one who had cast the spell. And he found them there. The towering figure on Malachi and the slight trembling figure of Atti. And Skylar saw red. Malachi’s question reached him. And he bravely stepped forward into the alley. “Eric is my soulmate.” He said in a voice that held none of the fear he felt. Because he’d pulled strength from that bond he held with Eric. To face down his enemy.
It happened instantaneously. So quickly Skylar didn’t even have the chance to scream. Malachi released Atti and was upon him. Crushing his resisting body against his. It would have been a very intimate embrace had Skylar wanted anything to do with it. Which he did not. He broke free from Malachi. Using again strength he borrowed from Eric. Taking a staggering step back. But he’d done it. He’d taken Malachi’s attention and placed it on him.
Atti let out a strangled little sob. The intensity of Malachi’s reaction causing him to slide down the wall to the ground. His hand covering his throat that spasmed from the pressure that had been on it. And he wished for Kwan. With such intensity it stole his breath away.

Atti could only nod. Still touching his tingling lips. His eyes wide and wonder at the whole experience. "Say Kwan..." He said, dropping his hand. "Have you kissed a lot of people, Kwan?" He asked as the nephilim touched his cheek. The touch was gentle, and Atti found himself hurtling through space as he held Kwan's gaze. It felt like he was flying, if that could be a thing. His admission shocked Atti and he just stared at him in a stupor as the song changed around them. "You do?" He finally asked, disbelief evident in his voice. "Oh gosh..." He took a step back, though not really meaning to do it. "I mean...I really like you too, Kwan." He said, nodding emphatically. "And. I'd really like to kiss you again. A whole lot of times." He touched his lips again, eyes widening a bit. It was like a fairy tale, he realized. His very own version of one. Kwan was his knight. Meant to whisk him off his feet. Which, he'd done so far. Quite effectively at that. And Atti thought that wow...Kwan really liked him too. It was an entirely mutual thing. There was no pining. That was accustomed in a lot of fairy takes. No dragon to defeat. Though, he was pretty sure Kwan could have done it were there to be one. He tilted his head up towards the shadowhunter patiently waiting for an answer to his proposal. "Boyfriend stuff." He repeated thoughtfully biting his lip. "That's a lot of stuff." He observed. "All kinds of things. But really fun things...I think anyway."

"I think..." He hesitated only a moment longer. "I'd like that a lot. Kwan. Being your boyfriend. I mean. Holding your hand. Cuddling with you. Kissing you." He nodded with all the things he was saying. "I think that would sure be great."
Kwan was a little startled when Atti pulled back so suddenly, worry evident on his face as he raised an eyebrow before be was rewarded with a hesitant but warm smile, seeing the excitement in his eyes. "Was that your first kiss, Atti?" He asks the young Fae, caressing his cheek gently as he stared into his beautiful and expressive eyes. "I really want to kiss you again right now. I don't want to stop kissing you, touching you. I like you Atti, Like.... Like like you. Like I want you to be my boyfriend and like kiss you and hold your hand and do boyfriend stuff."

Atti pouted. Not liking the idea of Kwan doing something that would hurt him. But knowing it didn’t hurt as much anymore made him feel a little better about it. But only a little. He puffed out a breath, it blew through his bangs. Granted, he supposed he could understand it.

Atti made an unhappy sound at Kwan’s story. His bottom lip quivering a bit like he meant to cry. “They were mean to him?” He asked in a small voice. Atti was sheltered his entire life. The only things he knew things he learned from books. It left him out of sorts with the outside world. And some of it really bothered him, some even scared him. “Say Kwan?” He asked hesitantly. “How did you know that Jaime was going to be your parabatai?” He was so curious. Wanting to know everything he could about the cute nephilim. He felt rather attached to him already. His eyes lit up. “A water slide?” He giggled. “You should definitely have a theater room too! And a library! With a lot of books!”
Kwan beams back at the Fae, his little squeal and giggles causing Kwan to giggle himsel. "Thank you, Atti." He says smiling.

Kwan frowned a little at the way Atti seemed to act a little unsure of himself. "Hey, that just means that I can show you all the fun things." He grins at him, giggling at his question. "Of course I'll be your friend. I'd love to. And hey! I can introduce you to Jamie, my Parabatai, and you can be friends too!" He beams at him, hugging him back at he excitedly hugged him at the prospect of Korean hot dogs. "Let's go." He says as he takes Atti's hand again. "So were you like born in Faerie or here?" He asks, wanting to get to know the Fae better.
Atti was lost in the music and the flashing strobe lights. Lost in the sensation of his body molded to Kwan’s. He was experiencing so many firsts tonight. It was almost overwhelming. But he felt safe there with Kwan. So it didn’t worry him much.
Kwan touched his chin and guided him up to look at him. There was a question in Atti’s eyes. But then something amazing happened. Their lips touched. And that lightheaded feeling Atti was experiencing intensified. And his heart skipped a beat, a wild thrumming in his chest. He gasped at it. Suddenly pulling back, touching his tingling lips. He gave Kwan a curiously hesitant smile. But it was warm, excitement sparkling in his eyes.

Kwan watched as Atti grabbed a drink and took a sip, his eyes darkening slightly at the way his soft moan at the taste sent tingles throughout his body before shaking it off and grinning back at him. "It's so good right?" He grins.

"Oh my god, yes!" Kwan exclaims excitedly. "I love to dance. Let's go." He says pulling Atti into the sea of dancers and clumsily twirling him into him with a giggle.
Atti was utterly fascinated by what Kwan told him about nephilim. Oh he’d read books about them. But there weren’t really texts on the shadowhunters and the information available to him was contradictory. So it was really so exciting to have solid evidence. He traced one of the runes Kwan showed him. Marveling at how it felt under his fingertips. Then he frowned as a thought came to him. “Do they hurt? They burn into your skin right? That must really hurt.” He found himself squeezing Kwan’s arm with worry for him.

Atti’s smile faded a bit when he noticed the limp but he didn’t comment on it. Kwan was doing his best to be strong for him. And didn’t want that to go unnoticed. He gasped in delight at the tune, reaching out to touch it as he did the marks on his arm. “That’s so cool!” He gushed. A little color in his cheeks. He did take a little peek at Kwan’s flat stomach before he let the shirt fall back down over it. Atti flushed a little deeper. But Kwan’s words startled him out of this reverie. “Oh…” his smile eased back onto his face. “I didn’t really know.” He said. “You don’t really mind things you don’t know about.” His eyes softened a bit. “And it’s going to be a great biiiiig house!” He giggled.

Atti giggled. “Yes! I see that!” His smile deepened at the thought of David. “Oh he’s really great! And he makes really yummy food! He’s in love with Magnus!” He added gleefully.

He nodded vehemently. His wide eyes still taking in the party with fascination. "I came with David." He said with great affection. "He said I should experience something grand. And here I am!"

“Ohhh!!” Atti cooed with delight. “Cat eyes are so pretty!”

Atti beamed, tickled to have been sprinkled with glitter. "Wow! It's so pretty here!" He exclaimed. "I haven't even seen Mr. Magnus yet....is he really pretty too?"

Atti’s eyes widened. “Oh gosh!” He squeaked. “You are so right! I totally forgot my manners!” That made him shiver a little. His mother would have cracked him on the knuckles for that.

Atti giggled behind his hand, eyes bright with mirth. "Is it really his birthday? Is he really like a million years old? I heard he was."

"Woooow!" Atti said amazed. "That was so good!"

"Can you do that high pitched thing with your voice again?"
At Genius Lab

Wyatt was in his studio working to get the album he was working on finished, his headphones on as he hit a particularly rough spot. He let out a groan and tossed off his headphones before noticing he wasn't alone. "Oh crap. Sorry about that." He says "What's up?"
Atti giggled behind his hand, eyes bright with mirth. "Is it really his birthday? Is he really like a million years old? I heard he was."

"Isn't it? I think he purposefully makes it his best effort for his birthday."

The compliment made her beam. "I don't know about that, but thank you."
Atti beamed, tickled to have been sprinkled with glitter. "Wow! It's so pretty here!" He exclaimed. "I haven't even seen Mr. Magnus yet....is he really pretty too?"

Rory hummed thoughtfully. "I don't think a little bit would go amiss, but I think you'd have to catch it after it settled onto a surface." She laughed a bit, pointing at his jacket. "Already got a bit on your shoulder."

He nodded vehemently. His wide eyes still taking in the party with fascination. "I came with David." He said with great affection. "He said I should experience something grand. And here I am!"

"Courtesy of our host," Juliet noted with a laugh of her own. "Is this the first party of Magnus' that you've come to?"

Atti turned pink, clasping his hands behind his back. "Oh yes!" He beamed. "He's been so nice! I have my own room too! It has a really pretty comforter. You know? Like it has all these sparkles and things. I think it must have been inspired by Magnus. David loves him, you know? Like really loves him."

His eyes lit up. "He adopted you? Like David adopted me?" He made a gleeful sound. "Oh gosh! How cool is that? Has he always been so sparkly?"
"Atti, how have you been? Has my platonic gotten you settled in alright?" Eric smiles at the young Fae. "And I was. My parents abandoned me very young and after many horrific years I won't go into detail about, David and Danny found me. I met Magnus shortly after and he adopted me as his own."

Atti squealed with excitement. He loved, really loved, a good love story. And he definitely wanted an epic love story for David. He was just so nice and wonderful and all the things!

His eyes widened as David spoke about soulmates. The elder fae had his complete and unwavering attention. Atti really loved learning new things. And soulmates just sounded so cool! "True love?" He asked in awe. When David said he no longer had a romantic soulmate, Atti felt his heart ache. "Oh gosh! I am so sorry, David!" He cried, attaching himself to the other fae, hugging him tight. "You have to tell Magnus! You just have to! Okay? Because he's your happy ending!" He just had to be. Atti was certain. He pulled back from the hug, Kwan's name causing butterflies to flutter in his stomach. His cheeked darkened and he giggled a bit. "Oh. Kwan is so nice. He saved me from a car, you know? Like he got hurt and stuff. But he was okay because nephilim are strong and they don't break really easily!" His voice held a great deal of awe and appreciation for Kwan. "We had Korean Hotdogs. And he said he'd be my friend!"
David chuckles as he hugs the naive young Fae he had come to adopt as his own. "I just might. I will see where the night takes me, I suppose." He shrugs.

"Yes, your soulmate. The one person who completes you. Not all Fae have one but when you find them it's a feeling like you've never felt before. You feel drawn to them, you want nothing more than to be near them and see them smile. You can't picture your life without them and you love them more than anyone you have ever loved before. You would do anything to make them happy, keep them safe. Your one true love. You can also have platonic soulmates too which are friends that are as close as a brother or sister. That's who Danny and Eric are to me, my platonic soulmates. I... No longer have a romantic soulmate. She died long ago but I do believe Magnus may be my second chance." David explains before smiling when the young far mentions Kwan. "Kwan huh? Tell me about this neohilim Kwan with the pretty eyes, little one. How does he make you feel?"
Atti could only nod as his eyes practically rolled back in his head. He swayed a little, almost falling on Kwan but caught himself. "Oh gosh! Sorry, Kwan!" He giggled.

Atti let out an excited squeal as Kwan twirled him. When he stopped he was a little disoriented and couldn't quite figure out what direction he was supposed to be in. His cheeks were flushed and he just giggled more. The glitter falling down all around them. He threw his arms around Kwan's neck, pressing in closer to dance. Resting his spinning head on the nephilim's shoulder he sighed happily. Just enjoying everything so so much.

Atti clapped his hands happily. He'd made Kwan smile. And it was such a pretty smile too. "Say...Kwan? Do nephilim have magic? Because...you feel really magical to me." He said, poking him in the shoulder to see if he'd change color. When he didn't Atti frowned a little. "Oh...guess not."

"Really?" Atti bounced back to his earlier energy level. "You'll really show me? Gosh, Kwan! That's so nice of you!" Kissing him on the cheek, he pulled back, a little pink in the face. "Yay!" Atti exclaimed, gleefully. He'd never had friends before, now he was going to have two! "Is Jaime nice like you?" He asked, now very interested in Kwan's parabatai. He'd read about parabatai before. It was a lot like being soulmates with someone. Which was really cool. "Do you have the parabatai rune? Can I see it?" Atti reigned himself in somehow, clasping onto Kwan's hand as they started to walk. "Me?" He blinked. "Oh no. I've never actually been to faerie. I was born here. My parents are both fae though. And we lived in like this huuuuuuge house! Like it had all these rooms and things. That changed into different things. And I never got to go outside. Well I got to in the backyard. Which was really neat because it was like a forest, you know? But I had this huge library! With all kinds of books!" He was rambling, but he didn't know quite what Kwan wanted so he just told him everything.

He frowned and shook his head vehemently. "Oh gosh no. Not me. I don't even know how to use it!"

"Say! Do you think Mr. Magnus would teach me if I asked?"
“I would be greatly surprised if there was not,” Sofia replied, smiling at the man’s excitement. “But surely magic is something normal to you?” She asked, his scent telling he was fae.

Atti stared with wide-eyed fascination at the little spec. Her question startled him and he shook his head. "No? Oh gosh....do you really think I am?" Glancing back at his hands he puffed out a breath and it grew even more. "Oh my gosh!" He squealed. "I did!" He'd never done magic before. His parents never bothered to teach him any. All he'd done was think...wouldn't it be cool if it got bigger? And it did!

Kenna gave à laugh as he inspected her. “What…” she watched with fascination at it grew, “Are you doing that?”

Atti bumped in beside him. "Oh gosh...I hadn't realized you've been adopted too."

In a Dark Corner

"It would be rude of me to not at least make an appearance considering Magnus adopted me years ago." Eric shrugs as he sips his whiskey.
"This realm?" Atti asked, eyes wide with wonder. "Are you from faerie?"

"You know this is the first party I've been to in this realm,"
Atti let out a little squeal, hiding his face again. Then, he erupted into a fit of giggles. Finding everything so funny all of a sudden. He beamed, staring back into Kwan's eyes. "You are....really pretty too." He admitted with an even deeper flush.

"Oh..." He wilted a bit. His vision of Kwan riding around on a flying bike disappearing with an audible pop. He'd thought all nephilim had them. He offered Kwan a little smile though it was a little tight. "I mean I guess it was..." He mumbled, feeling a little unsure of himself now. "I mean I guess I didn't know any different. Until now." But then he smiled brightly again at him. "Say...Kwan? Will you be my friend?" He asked complete innocent and trust in his voice. "I've never had one." When the nephilim said they could get the hotdogs he lit up again. "Yay!" He threw his arms around Kwan, hugging him tight. "Thank you!" He landed a kiss on the other man's cheek.
Kwan loved his blush, reaching out to move his hands from his face as he looks him directly in the eyes. "You are. So gorgeous." He grins.

Kwan chuckles softly at the poke to his shoulder. "I don't but I think one of the guys I work with does. It's so cool. " he grins before listening to his story. "Oh man that must have sucked, never getting to go out and explore. Im glad you ran away so we can meet and hang out." He smiled. "Korean hotdogs? Oh I know an awesome vendor down by the Institute. We can totallt stop there. I love Korean hot dogs."
"He does?" Atti asked, eyes wide. "I really like him too! He makes really yummy food and gives really good hugs!" He gushed with a giggle. "And! He's in love with Magnus Bane! Which I think is so cool!"

"A carrier?" He asked with a little frown. "What's that? I'm a fae."
"He talks about you a lot. He's come to think of you as a son. He's my mentor's platonic. I like him a lot, his older brother is pretty cool too, he just keeps to himself a lot. "

"Well tonight we are gonna get you to try it for the first time. If you want to, of course. " Jacob smiled before chuckling. "Hey there's nothing wrong with being s virgin. Are you a carrier?" He asks.
