Hiccup and Darius had both dads, who loved their boys to the end of the world. But both had to go, one sacrificed himself for his son, the other had no choice but to leave, otherwise he would never recover.

Httyd3: the hidden world

I personally disagree with a lot of people who say this movie is bad, because I personally really enjoyed it. I watched it ten or eleven times total, if you count the first time I saw it. It has a really great, mature story with an excellent message about love and loss and letting go. Love was always a theme in the trilogy but here they scored with it in every way possible with the fact that every character is bond to it, like Hiccup and Astrid or Hiccup and Toothless. There is some reality to this movie that makes it on doubtfully beautiful and let it feel more realistic, because with the theme of loss everyone has a story to tell. Love and Loss always comes as a backache, you can’t have the one without the other.

I hope I will show with this post, how much my friends and I love this movie, even though we have our little nitpicks. We think that it gets too much unesassarcy hate. Maybe some day they will see as much good in it as for Shrek 4.

I don’t know if someone of you ever had the feeling, you have to like something because other people do. I had sometimes the feeling regarding to some parts of the httyd franchise. Like for example, that I had to like the third movie less because of what some people said. I just want to love for what it is a satisfying finale to a great story. I love the whole franchise for what it is.

The greatest animated story ever told, I am so sorry every other animated franchise but my heart beats for the httyd-trilogy and its franchise.

I definitely agree with your statement. I also love all Movie on an equal level. It’s just sometimes hard to see the amount of hate for the third film regadless if it is a post from the past or present. This is also why I wanted this to share. I sometimes have the feeling I have to dislike it because of what other fans say, even though I really love and enjoy it as much as the other two. Its just sometimes hard because you want to be part of the fandom but like something, others don’t like so much. But I always then question myself into thinking that one of the major messages from httyd is that it is good to be different and do his own thing.

What do you guys think about the new plot for JW4?

I personally think it’s a interesting plot synopsis and I think some of it is also loosely based on the concept of Michael Crichtons third Jurassic Park book that he Never wrote.
