So… I have never been on board really with the Cicero x Astrid ship. It always felt unrealistic and cracky to me.

And then… I had a literal dream about it.

I was walking through some new sanctuary or dungeon, avoiding traps—as one does—when I hear Cicero—as one does. We meet up and he starts rambling—as he does—about the traps and the histories and the things… I try to clean up, picking up little things off the floor like throwing knives, throwing stars, dead plants, sequins, chicken feet, lettuce, etc.

Then, Cicero shows me a specialized trap (I avoid everything, of course), all the while throwing banter at the air. We’re about in the middle of a huge trap when I finally hear Astrid’s in-aberrant, annoyed voice. She and Cicero chuck insults and funny quips at each other, jester man always at my side doing wacky shit (I never see Astrid during the dream). Then Cicero throws a couple of tiny stars at me and they land. They aren’t very painful. We get to the end of the extensive trap and jump into a boat, riding down and around back to the main trap we were just at and stop. We hop out and I continue cleaning. Finally, Cicero yoinks some chicken feet from my reach and jauntily jogs off down a side corridor. Next thing I hear is “Will you marry me? I have chicken feet!” and Astrid’s subsequent laughter.

And I just freeze. With this huge, dumb grin on my face. Because how is that the thing that gets her? That stupid, dumb, silly, adorably idiotic…

Honestly, Astrid’s genuine laughter is such a nice thing to hear… Oo! And then they started bonding over the stupidity of songs with like.. three-sentence lyrics and no musical continuity or continuation. And then chicken feet came up and again, and more laughter… then I woke up.

It was a good dream.
