Let’s talk about Episode 1 for a moment. Like, I don’t get how people write Alyx off as the typical love interest for the hero who doesn’t contribute anything to the overall story. The scene in the stalker car, and then the elevator scene… they hit hard. She shows raw, pure emotion and a vulnerability that gives me pause on every playthrough. She is an extremely well-developed character, dammit, and I’m sick of people degrading her and writing her off as some kind of useless accessory to Gordon. 💔

If you don’t like Freemance it’s totally fine, but Alyx is an amazing character with so much development as the series goes on. I truly don’t understand the petty hate she gets sometimes.
