Going back through playlists I made for characters of an old abandoned WIP and now I'm having flashbacks and regrets

I'm sorry but Nights Like These by Pigeon Pit is giving me major Gordo/Mark vibes and now I have the urge to write and make people sad

Every time I write romance and begin fleshing out the characters all I think about while making my protagonist is "just don't be Bella Swan and you're good. Just don't be Bella Swan. Just don't be a slice of wet cardboard" and so far that's massively improved my main characters
